Thanks, Mirocu! Yes, I very much like the color. It is actually a prettier dark blue than you can see by this photo; my phone camera (or maybe the lighting) made the blue look a bit off from what it looks like in real life. I love it! Thank you for the well wishes on it! @ Decrepit: Thank you for the good wishes! This (toy, lol) was unbelievably low mileage; just 41,000 on a 2014 model = couldn't pass it up!

Well, life goes on, COVID or no COVID. I've been working from home supporting via chat, and loving every minute of it. I've had some wonderful interactions, and lots of positive feedback, so I know this has been a perfect move for me. Now that the vaccines are out, and people are getting them, my employer is looking at moving everyone back into the stores.
Unfortunately over the past year my dry eye and my lung disease have both progressed to the point where I physically can not work in the store anymore. After discussions with my managers (who have been wonderful, by the way), it was decided that I submit a medical accommodation request to continue supporting Apple from home. Hopefully this will result in my current role transitioning from temporary to permanent WFH in service chat.
My managers agree that having to put drops into my dry eye hourly nd having to lug a E tank around behind me on a cart are not conducive to being on the floor, so they are looking to protect me and keep me a part of the company. I'm hopeful that this will lead to the desired outcome for me.

I am so surprised and pleased to hear how well Apple has been treating you through your health issues; and through the Covid crisis! That is amazing; and so unexpected for a huge company like they are! I really hope this turns out to work exactly how you want and is best for you and your health with continuing to work for them; that sounds like a wonderful outcome for both you and your Mother; you will be there to take care of her ongoing! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Sorry for the continued health problems, haute. But happy to hear employer is working with you so you can continue to do something you really enjoy. I think my employer has mixed up the terms "essential" and "expendable" for us... but I should be getting shot soon, so one less worry. Take care of yourself.

So... we like to feed the birds... and a whole bunch of squirrels. Put up a new feeder last weekend. Sunflower seed bowl, suet cage, etc. Had good success with woodpeckers, squirrels, jays, etc., etc.
Until this evening about 5 o'clock--- when a black bear decided to raid the feeder. He then climbed about 40 feet into our oak tree and snoozed a while. Came back a few minutes ago.
And for purely informational purposes, let me add that the feeder he has demolished is about 15 feet from the windows in our living room.

Went to a general check up today.
They found protein in my urine. Will get it investigated further and the results would be a week from now.
