Today was ok. Went to minneslunden to leave candles for sister in law. Her ashes are buried there somewhere.

I've not seen anything like that in the US. Just regular graves, even for cremains. It's a memory meadow, lush green grass and a couple trees here and there. Quite nice. Too bad it rained. We left candles and talked about her a bit, then left.

Trash weather for a cemetery visit.

We've had not too much rain but too often. Hardly had time to mow the lawn

Making this post was super easy, barely an inconvenience.

I've been passing out super early lately.

Exhausted because I don't get to sleep in the mornings due to cat.

Taking off my athletic shoes at the end of today's exercise-walk, I found one shoe's sole loose at the toe. An order has been placed for a new pair at Amazon. I went ahead and order new house slippers too, as it's time to do so. Matter of fact I order the slippers I wear now one year ago as of yesterday. I dislike helping JB buy his 64th aircraft carrier, but buying shoes locally is no option for feet as small as mine. There's never anything worth buying in stock (or to try on for fit).

Now I have to survive the week on floppy-toed walking shoes.

On a more positive note, the smaller shelf brackets I ordered last week arrived. They replace two slightly too big brackets holding the left end of my computer desk's front edging in place. The desk looks as good as new now, except for all the gouges and where its finish has worn off.

Small feet? I have slightly larger than normal feet I swear, because every time I find a pair I like, they don't have them in my size. I'm pretty convinced that Adidas, for example, doesn't even MAKE women's shoes in my size. Got a friend with even bigger feet, she's resigned to wearing men's shoes.

My winter boots are EU 40. And they don't allow me to wear thick socks. And they didn't make this particular pair of icebugs any bigger. T.T

My shoe size is bout 44-45. They need to be that big because of how the shoes are designed with a narrow point. THAT'S NOT HOW HUMAN FEET LOOK LIKE, GUYS.

They do if you cut out a few extraneous toes. I'm not saying you have abnormally many toes, I'm saying the foot must fit the shoe, not the other way around. 😉 Some fashionable people actually really do that... Good thing I'm too stubborn to be fashionable. 😃

Well I guess I COULD rearrange them and have my big toe in the middle. Then again, I don't think I'd look good in high heels

Hmmm....my male size 7 feet are size 41 EU????? They somehow seem larger now. (I suspect I'm 40-41, as sevens, as a rule, are a bit loose on me, in length, not width)

I wear US mens 8 or so.

I use FireFox new-tab 'top sites' screen to house access icons for favorite frequently visited sites, as well as 'essentials' such as my weather-channel-of-choice, several important medical related sites and so on. Almost since joining Chorrol, it has been positioned at the upper left-hand corner, it being the site I visit most consistently. The official Bethesda forums, which it bumped, immediately followed it.

This morning Bethesda forums was 'unpinned', then 'dismissed'. Number 2 status now belongs to a SciFi-Fantasy book forum I frequent. The dead space created by Bethesda's loss has been filled, near the end of row two, by a Train Simulator third-party creator of steam locomotives and rolling stock.

Never thought I'd see the day Bethesda Forums wasn't a 'top site', though I suppose I should have seen it coming. (Fear not. A number of Bethesda game-related sites remain on the roster.)

I still think their idea to move to discord was a terrible idea.

Apparently their forums don't get a whole lot of traffic though, and discord is free to use(Nitro is quite inexpensive too). They don't have to pay to keep the servers up for as little traffic as they got.

I understand why they did it, but it still sucks, even if I didn't go there.

Yeah. A company as big as Beth and with as many games as they now host should have an official forum methinks.

Yea and also after a MicroSoft buy out, it just seems stupid and unnecessary because they for sure got the money now to keep a forum going. Also, before they banished, I was suggesting they just run more ads to generate money if thats the issue. As much as I hate ads, I'd rather see that then it disappear and go to Discord.

My notion, is its not money at all. That has nothing to do with it, Microsoft buyout and ability to run ads but not doing it is the proof there....

Its far more sinister. Its a move into what they think is the new age. And wanting to be "forward thinking". Which is a bad thing. Because so many comvpnaie are jumping head over heels into this new type of stuff, and not thinking how its actually not a real substitution, rather a completely different thing.

I am not putting Discord down. And its very good for what its good for, yes.. But in no way does it substitute a Forum. The pace and the general nature of it is not a substitute. It's different. And should be looked at as such. Sadly, as smart as we think these companies are, in reality, they are not always. They make stupid moves a lot. Then wonder why their company plummeted.. lol

That will not happen to Beth over this, no, this is petty, but I am just pointing out, they do not always make the best decisions when it comes to what they think as "forward thinking". And my gut feeling is this was one of them. Totally fueled by wanting to think to the future, be hip, do what the kids want, thats the direction of everything, so lets do it to to stay relevant, etc.. It was not about money.

My wow guild leader looked at the web forums and their traffic. It's pretty low. That's probably why they're axing them. Too expensive for too few users.
