I spoke to Mirri and she says she hates goblins, snakes, and boats. Sure enough I gained some rapport after I killed some goblins and again after killing a snake.

UESP is accumulating a list here. If the values are available to the UI add-ons then it won't be long before there's s tool for it.

I hope Bastian has an equivalent daily he likes doing to match Mirri's Ashlander one. I'd much prefer getting 125 points at a time, rather than killing 125 snakes. biggrin.gif

I installed an add-on to show the actual rapport numbers (this one)and discovered that the "kill bandits" value for Bastian should be only +1, not +10, so I've updated the wiki.

But only after wasting at least a couple of hours with Blossom in Wrothgar. I'd started to doubt the value of killing bandits, and I turned out to be right. On the positive side, his extra levels were as expected.

We finished the main questline in Murkmire yesterday, now we still have some of the region to explore, do some random adventuring and close up some quests. As I already commented in the Screenshot thread, I really am in love with everything that Murkmire has to offer. Usually I'm not someone that pays a lot of attention to music but the one in Murkmire immediately got my attention and as I was about to log in, I was looking forward to music as well. For instance, I can't recall the main music theme in any of other provinces we've been through but the one in Murkmire is often playing in the back of my mind, even when I'm not gaming.

I was also positively surprised how many times Shonta's race was recognized in dialogues. Maybe that's also the case if you're Dark Elf on Morrowind or Orc in Orsinium but it wasn't just one or two times that NPCs reacted to race, there were countless times, when he was recognizd as an Argonian.

So, as I said, we'll be staying in the swamps for some more, then it's probably off to Wrothgar.

Lopov, so glad you enjoyed Murkmire! As I've said, Buffy did also. Wrothgar. . . not so much. Too cold and too many frustrating to navigate due to 'cliff blocking'.

Buffy spent some time this week doing but not turning in 7 Cyrodiil quests in preparation for Midyear Mayhem. She also completed her 30 WBs weekly endeavor - that one was absolutely made for the voracious little WB hunter. tongue.gif

I'll try and do DLCs in more or less chronological order of release, but I touched Murkmire first because I read that it's irrelevant when you complete it, whereas some other DLCs have intertwined stories and it's better to complete some of them before others.

I've got Mirri and Bastion up to house-guest level of Rapport on both NA and EU servers, so it was time to do something about their combat levels. Since Floozie was in need of another Rattlecage ring, so she can swap out her Ring of the Pale Order for group situations, we decided to do some nVoM with Bastian as a tank.

The other part of that was that enough heavy companion gear had dropped (because we weren't using it) that he could swap into that, plus sword and board, without further expense. With Floozie being a Templar, I expected she'd have enough heals to keep him alive. So we managed to get through, but probably no better than running fully solo, as Bastian has a nasty habit of roll-dodging out of area heals, and the dying.

I had much the same with Blossom, who's a Stamina Templar without the restoration staff, and uses Vigor as much as the class heals.

We picked up a Rattlecage necklace, and a Ring of the Worm, so RNG was acting on form. Bastian seemed to be getting a lot less XP than he usually did as mage in overland, perhaps because a tank does less damage?

Has anyone else run him as tank, and how did it work out for you?

I'm running Bastion as a tank and like it - as long as the Buffy involved has reasonable 'heal other. skills. He does a much better job at not scattering foes than a ranged companion. The only 'ranged' skill I give him is the S&B gap closer so he always is in the middle of things. And he holds aggro on one target great.

Buffy the Wardens (bow and mag) like using the 'command pet' feature to start fights with her bear. So a ranged companion is out of the question for her since the companion and bear cue off the same command but the ranged attacker will always get aggro first (arrow/spell much faster than bear to close the distance). With a tank, the the bear and companion get to the target at the same time and it works well. And Wardens have plenty of healing for them.

Buffy the Magblade has poor 'heal other' skills so she runs Mirri (ranged dps) but slotted the Undaunted taunt to pull the inevitable aggro that Mirri pulls off of her. That works well.

Buffy the Bowsorc and Buffy the Magsorc have zero 'heal other' skills so they run Mirri also but ignore trying to keep her alive. They don't have room on their bars for a taunt. Despite that, Mirri rarely dies.

Shonta Quassan is trying to collect missing stone tablets for the broken Xinchei-Konu calendar. We found five so far, some by luck already before starting the quest. So seven more remain. While we have some vague ideas, where to find the remaining ones, hints for some are very obscure so that should prove quite a challenge. In the meantime we're participating in group battles against Murkmire WBs, hoping to get some powerful items.

Happy hunting to Shonta in Murkmire!

Buffy's been busy today as well. She spent some time in Cyrodiil early earning transmute crystals. Then a couple WBs for the endeavor. Then finished Mirri's first round of quests. Then did a pledge. She hopes to do another pledge, then advance some questing in Western Skyrim today.

Timing is everything. Today's patch adds a delay between Mirri's first and second quests. We got both done on each server some time ago, so weren't affected. You have to do both before she's a house-guest, but that's account-wide, so we're good..

We're thinking of visiting Wrothgar at some later point, because we already completed 'prologue' quests for both Morrowind and Summerset without knowing that these quests actually serve as introductions to respective DLCs. Can anyone confirm for me that the 'correct' order of playing through three DLCs is as follows: Morrowind-Clockwork City-Summerset? That is, it makes the most sense to play it through in such a way?

Yes, you have the right of it. MW, CWC, SS (in that order) combine to form the larger story arc 'Daedric Wars'.

Yup, you're generally advised to play DLCs in order of release , but you get all the quest starters thrown at you concurrently which can make it a bit confusing.

Jerric has finally completed all (as far as I can tell) of the base zone quests. He's heading to Craglorn next to finish up his business there. I should probably look up youtube walkthroughs to fill in the story gaps left by dungeon quests.

Wow, that's a lot of quests to complete! Congratulations! goodjob.gif

Shonta Quassan completed the main questline on Vvardenfell and although there remain a lot of uncompleted side quests and undiscovered areas on Vvardenfell, he decided to leave the island of Dark Elves behind for a while. Soon he's about to visit the Clockwork City and also do some quests for the Mages Guild. He'll definitely return to Vvardenfell but it's hard to say, when.

I have one question regarding the Deadly Aim.

"Increase your Damage done with single target attacks by 2%, per stage."

Does this also include attacks, caused by weapons (like during direct combat) or single attacks, caused through skills? Or both? Thanks.

It definitely includes attacks that are direct damage single target and not over time. This includes all weapon light attacks, most weapon heavy attacks, and skills that directly smack only one target with one strike of damage (not over time). That is attacks that are direct damage, not over time and single target.

It definitely does not include skills you drop on the ground that do damage to any standing on the area of effect (like wall of elements or caltrops). That is, attacks that are not direct damage.

I'm not sure about attacks that directly smack one enemy but do damage over time, or about attacks that directly damage multiple foes at once (like lightning staff heavy attacks). That is, attacks that seem to be direct damage but also have an over time or multitarget component.
