Windows 11 was announced. Internet Exploder is going away entirely. Internet will be required for Home edition. Blah.

Internet required? Interesting. So what about those places where there is no internet access? Like a lot of villages in England, for example? Hmmm.

It's going to be a cold day in Hell before I use an internet required type system to use the internet....Wait what?!

Is this another little step to get everyone used to monthly/yearly subscription fees like Photoshop? Personally I really don't like the idea of "internet required" anything.

Thing is, many current subscription packages are not exactly cheap on a monthly basis anyway. Over a year some of them equal your car insurance!

What do you mean about subscription to Skyrim? I play Skyrim, there's no subscription. Neither on PC nor on PS4.

But it's ok.

I don't like mandatory internet. Mine isn't 100% reliable. It's better than my DSL was, but it still gets interruptions for whatever reason.
