One more MOTU video. Not quite the last MOTU video but I'm nearing the end of this collection till more Origin figures are announced.

They're showing sister in law's house soon. They're expecting to get 1.2 million for it. (About 138k)

It's in a rather nice spot and that'll cover her debts so we're pleased.

Still a little sad to see it sold. Gorgeous house. We're taking the furniture after its been shown, they want it to look lived in for the showing. Apparently it looks better if people see what it'll look like furnished.

Not sure what all we'll take though.

In England that might get you a 2 bed flat (outside London of course)

A 1 bed flat in a dilapidated picturesque part of town around here (South).

Well, I was kinda generalising, but if you are going for a nice location in the south…rather than just anywhere to find a roof...then yes. Prices to give our American friends an idea of our housing costs.

The extra bedroom adds around 15k to the asking price.

In London £138k might get you a ‘lock up’ store under railway arches, and if you want a nice flat in London’s fashionable Kensington west 1 zone, well expect to pay one and a half to three Million.

Oddly, Englands most expensive real estate though is an unassuming quiet little retirement area on the south coast near Poole Harbour. At one time only Miami out priced it. Idk if that still holds true today, but a small neat house there with not much garden area is several million.

In January 2020 we were incredibly lucky to purchase our present house for USD $32,000 (about 27,200 Euros). It's a 2,300 sq. ft. house, built in 1906, on an acre-and-a-half lot. It was abnormally cheap because 1) the house had been repossessed and 2) I have a hunch that the bank was eager to sell because COVID and rumors of quarantines were starting to be in the news. We managed to hit the market at just the right time. According to Zillow, the house's current market value is $149,000, which is way out of our price range.

Well my current house is worth about 7 grand US. The only value the place has is its large lot. Four room house built in the 40s.

Neighbor bought his house for about 75000 SEK. I was tempted to buy it just so we'd have no neighbors.

There's an overall housing shortage here in Sweden.... If you want to live somewhere with jobs. Hicksville here has a bunch of empty houses and no one wants them.

Fun facts about my area.

We're older than average (57 Vs 48 national average) only 10% are considered highly educated. We're almost all low to middle income earners and we pay higher than average tax. Average income is 32% below national average.
