I was surprised to find that people other than me read my story...thanks for your thoughts everyone... biggrin.gif
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was quite apparent to the guards what he was doing there, one of them had seen him climbing the balcony and he warned the others. Kiln lept to the roof next to him and quickly dropped off the side of the building letting himself slide down the hillside onto the ground.

He landed on his stomach and struggled to get to his feet quickly. He ran down a nearby hill surpassing the stairway and continuing to run towards the river. The drop off that led into the river was ahead of him and without thinking he jumped in, landing in the shallowest part in town.

He hurt his leg when he landed and couldn't stand so he slid on top of a mound of mud sticking above the water. The guards finally reached the edge, realizing he had been hurt they took their time in getting down to him.

His weapon was taken and he was stripped of his chestplate. At least he had put up a fight before being captured, that's how he thought of it anyways but the guards felt differently about the matter and were enraged that he hadn't stopped when asked.

The guards bound his hands and forced him to walk to the imperial fort and jail just outside of town. He felt the reprocussions of running from them as they violently escorted him to their destination, if he didn't keep pace with the guards then they hit him in the back and side of the head. Every step felt horrible as he felt the bone shift in his leg, he was sure it was broken now.

He finally arrived at the jail and was locked away before a healer was sent to look at his leg. His belongings had been taken from him and only the clothes he had wanted so badly to rid himself of were with him.

He wasn't sure when he would be released and he had no regrets about running he wished only one thing, that the river had been deeper where he had jumped in.

Slightly humorous, but at the same time quite sad. All he needed was some new clothe verysad.gif so he wouldn't be smelly. harsh consequences for a intended crime. but i guess that is what happens when you run away from the po po

Some time had passed with Kiln moaning and moving about his cell trying to find a comfortable position but it was becoming increasingly clear that there was no comfort with a broken leg.

The healer finally came in to tend to his leg, she was quite friendly and explained how she would help him. The Hlaulu guards from Balmora joked with the Imperial guards about how Kiln had hurt himself attempting to escape from them. They also joked about how he smelled and how his clothes were ragged and torn. The laughing enraged Kiln but he couldn't move, the walk to the fort had taken the fight out of him. Finally the healer was ready to begin.

The healer lied her hands on his leg and he felt a deep burning sensation move through him. It was not painful nor was it incredibly enjoyable, it was somewhere in between. The healer chanted the indistinctive words to the healing spell he felt the bone moving but it was not enough.

She told him the bone would have to be moved back into it's place manually and only then could she mend the broken bones. Kiln agreed and she motioned to a guard, after breifly speaking to the guard he said he would help.

The guard removed his helmet and kneeled down, this particular man was different than the others and seemed more friendly and compassionate. He had not joked and laughed with the others about what had happened to Kiln. He slowly lifted Kiln's broken leg and the healer put a large object fashioned from cork into his mouth.

The guard's face was filled with regret and he slowly twisted the leg into the position. Kiln bit hard down on the hard piece of cork he had been given and though he had tried to resist yelling he was unable. He let out a loud howl as the bones in his leg were slowly painfully realigned.

The pain faded as the healer mumbled more words under her breath and moved her hands through the air. The guard stood and watched carefully as the healer helped him. There was something about the guard that seemed familiar, relief washed over Kiln and the guard waited in a chair outside his cell.

Well since Kiln is dirt poor and he has no friends to free him from jail he has to have a little help.

Just got done browsing over the Mystery unleashed RP and I want to update now.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kiln lied in his cell for a while before asking one of the guards for the journal to read while he was here. The guard laughed at him for wanting to read and went to get the journal.

While he was gone Kiln peered out of his cell around the room looking for a possible escape route but there was none. He heard two men talking about an honored guest and wondered what they were going on about so he listened closely. They talked about the thefts Kiln had commited before being caught and he felt strangely good.

He was somewhat famous among the guards for all the cleverly executed thefts he had commited. He'd only taken what he needed though, he wished the law was more understanding on such matters. They expect people that can't afford food and clothes to simply do without.

Kiln was proud of himself for being so renowned of a thief but at the same time he was unhappy as he had accumulated over eight hundred gold worth of theft charges. He would be here for quite some time.

Finally the guard arrived with the journal and handed it to him through the barred window on the door. Kiln opened it and read the next entry.

"I've decided not to explore the bandit cave today, I will return another time but for now I will go to Balmora and look around a bit before consulting Caius Casades"

Kiln turned the page and read on.

"After taking a ride to Balmora on what the locals call a Silt Strider I arrived at a new city. This one much bigger than the last and the buildings are built so much differently it's like a whole different world. This is my type of place."

Kiln thought of how much he liked Balmora and how much he had in common with Tiren, it was very strange to him that a person that had died many years before his birth had so much in common with him. As there was nothing else to do he read on.

"After asking around for a very long time I finally found the location of the man I was to report to. He was a human and quite an old one at that. We talked for some time and he told me I was to be a spy for the emperor or something like that. I can't help but think he was insane. I'll go about my business for now."

Kiln wondered if the old man had been crazy or if he had been one of the secret masters of the Blades, the emperor's loyal spies. Talk of them was in the air recently but no one knows who they are.

He was too tired to try and escape tonight or even to think for that matter so he lied down on the bedroll and tried to sleep. The stench of the prison kept him awake for hours before he finally fell asleep, and he thought he smelled bad.

Sorry about the length of this one but I have to write when I feel like it and now is the time for me. BTW I accidentally posted something that I didn't like so I changed it to this, sorry anyone who read the original post that was here.

Yeah, uhhhh you read it before I scrapped the whole thing and re-wrote it. Try reading it now it should seem more to my style. I hoped nobody would get to read it before I changed it up. Anyways I really didn't like the flow of that part so I completely changed it, I think it's a lot better than what I originally wrote.

After a nights sleep he woke to morning roll call and feeding time. The officers yelled at the top of their voices and clanged a cup along the sides of the barred windows on the doors one by one to wake everyone up.

They were given a short time to wake up and then their food was delivered to them. It was their mystery breakfast as all of the guards called it, and all of the prisoners ate it day after day.

Upon asking what was in the strange, smelly, goo they called breakfast the guard laughed at him and said, "Mystery breakfast moron." So apparently he would never find out what he was eating.

The taste was horrible and he could tell that at least one ingredient was ash yam because it's smell overpowered most of the other smells coming from the pot. The cook laughed as the guards filled the bowls with the mucky substance and delivered it to the prisoners.

After feeding all the prisoners, the guards left to eat whatever they wanted. The man in a cell next to him was yelling and annoying everyone so a guard went in to shut him up. The man was a huge Nord and he managed to wrestle the guard to the ground and take his sword away before locking him in the cell.

The nort tried to fight the guards in just his clothes and succeded in fighting off two of them before five more entered the room and stabbed him several times. The screams were terrifying and Kiln decided not to try and escape any time soon.

He opened the journal and read more of it.

"After renting a room at the Eight plates here in Balmora..."

Kiln stopped reading and all feeling left him, could it be that...no surely not...he dismissed the ideas streaming through his head and read on.

"I felt right at home among the drunks and it's patron is quite nice also. After I left the tavern I walked through town admiring the beautiful scenery and the strange people around here. But mainly I wondered what my face looked like so I left to find my reflection in the water of the river in town."

Kiln had forgotten that the man couldn't even remember what he looked like and was deeply saddened by it. Before he went back to reading it the guard that had helped the healer fix his leg stopped by and stared at the journal. Kiln felt awkward not saying anything so they began talking.
