Anyway, I was walking around a mall complex, talking Swedish to Swedish people and then I went looking for a pizza place but even though I felt several were nearby I could never find one. All I found was bikini girls in a swimmingpool. On top of the mall. Yes; the mall had a swimmingpool on its roof

We had trick or treaters last night.

Keep in mind we have no porch light on. Back in the US you do not knock on doors with no light, it's rude and they probably don't have anything for you.

We had absolutely nothing to give out. I don't do Halloween and really wish they'd stop trying to bring another garbage commercialized holiday to Sweden.

Yeah, you are definitely not supposed to go up to houses that have their lights off. I’m a bit surprised to hear that Halloween is a thing in Sweden, but then again, it is the second biggest holiday in terms of revenue in the US, so other places were bound to jump on that money train. I for one love that people spend a lot on Halloween. It’s just so fun!!

Yeah. Watching youtube videos at 480p like I've done for more than a decade now and the 98MB/s increase is kinda wasted

You can watch st a normal resolution now at least.

But there are so many resolutions now, which one is the normal one?


Also; 480p is frankly good enough for me anyway. I'm so used to it and it's clear enough. I might try a higher one eventually.

480 is not clear at all. I can't watch game videos and read text on the screen with that kinda resolution.

Standard HD is 1080p, go with that. You'll notice a difference. A big one.

And I'm surprised you were using that low a resolution on DSL, even when we had it i was doing YouTube in HD.

Monday night can't get here quick enough.

Really? To me that is well clear enough, haven't felt the need to up it even now when I can.


Idk. It can be too clear as well; the very reason I didn't like the flatscreen I tried out years ago. It was too bright for my eyes with no way of changing it (believe me I tried), and it was way too clear and crisp for playing a game like Oblivion. Wasn't for me at all


Mind you, some videos I (still) watch are so old they were uploaded in 240, and I'm not talking about Volvo here!

Btw, why didn't you tell me about daylight savings time? I came too early for breakfast this morning!

I forgot about it myself. I slept like crap anyway so the supposed extra hour wouldn't have done me any good.

Funny thing, no one has talked about it this week. Haven't even heard it on the radio
