well technically a mage could block his minds from being read. most everyone can, just takes a lot of concentration for the average bloke. Mages have to be able to protect their mind, otherwise other mages would just stal each others spells and know what the other is casting before they actually cast it.

well I like you whole not sharing mind thought thing but I think that if a mass murderer thinks about killing someone, and you knew that you should say something,

and th mass murderer in this situation is Anthanes and you can do something about it so.....

Anyone with a brain is constantly thinking, that means that Serene'd be able to detect EVERYTHING that is their through their thoughts. Unless she can activate it at will, but I wonder why she'd do that if she doesn't really know Anthanes is there, unless she was trying to detect the thoughts of others. Or she might only detect the thoughts that we use to add some flavor to our posts.
