QUOTE(stargelman @ Jul 16 2005, 11:32 PM) A softie she's not! Although I for one consider Metallica to be still somewhat tame. Most of the time, I'm more in the mood for Fear Factory or Sepultura. I don't like most death metal tho. Too screamy I am Not???? Nooo of course I´m the hardest female around..... Death metal is really horrible.....no I have recently listened to some music the guys here recommended or rather told they like..such as Ursula100, and Radiohead, and that broadened my music-taste quite a bit...... then I also like VNV-Nation, and Wumpscut......Welle Erdball, Deine Lakaien, Covenant, PAIN, and so on.....a lot of germans i know, but since i am half german so may that be.. Besides i have a daughter who introduce me to a lot of very good music as well...

I have never, ever been able to acquire a taste for any sort of 'Metal' music, oddly enough Which is strange, seeing as almost everyone I know listens to it Even AC/DC starts to jar after a few moments, and that's not half as bad as Metallica. I guess my ears are just too sensitive to this kind of thing It still remains even more incomprehensible than rap to me. That said, I listen to practically everything else, from classical to jazz to rock to pop with a particular passion for anything French My regular playlists generally include things along the likes of Mylene Farmer, Nigel Kennedy, Francis Cabrel, Michael Nyman, Miles Davis, Pink Floyd and other, equally mixed about artists; all set to 'shuffle'

I'm not listening to anything at the moment, but this morning I found one of those rubbish compilations you get with newspapers sometimes and I kept listening to "Piano Man" by Billy Joel and "Poison" by Alice Cooper (it was one wierd compilation, I can tell you). As for metal, I think that Metallica is the only metal I enjoy. Everything else I've heard gets a little too shouty/screamy for me, but metallica does have some good riffs and well put together songs. However, I still prefer classical stuff, especially Beethoven, Bach, Vaughn Williams and various others.

They're right in the middle between Metallica and classic music! Weird, but good. I for one am listening to some Grieg's Peer Gynt right now. The Hall of the Mountain King reminds me of the olden days when I played Elite all day and night, and the other tracks are just so relaxing. After that, perhaps Mussorgsky's Night on Bald Mountain to wake me up again. Great stuff! If I still have the energy, after that perhaps Brahms' Hungarian Dances.

I am so lame ) - still, Albarn's vocals here are sweet, they indicate that he almost had fun making all those songs for his virtual band.

Right now I'm not listening to anything. But I am playing Fear Factory- Replica in my head at the moment. I usually enjoy listening to the 'bang your head till it bleeds' type of rock (might explain my personality). I do enjoy the older metallica tracks, and also have a thing for black sabbath and ozzy. BTW minque... Rammstein? YOU FREAKIN RULE! They're another of my favorites. I can'y understand what they are saying but you don't have to.

QUOTE(jonajosa @ Jul 20 2005, 08:55 PM) I like Master of ther puppets and... Sanatarium. Those are probably two of my favourites . The five-bar riff which sanitarium is build on is very interesting, as is the middle section of master of puppets (I really should fish out the guitar tabs for master of puppets, I've been meaning to learn the lead part to the central section for a while now, since I know the rest of it. Not that I could actually play the proper solo part )
