Mm hmm, like I said, I'm sure Zenimax anticipated the switch from 10 to 11. They'd have to, to keep any potential problems to zero, since the game is still actively being played by lots of gamers. So I had a Computer Issue last night. I already solved it actually. I switched from one character in Skyrim to another. This necessecitates switching about 6 .esps on and 5 or 6 .esps off (each character has different stuff going on). When I get into the game, stuff is acting wonky. Movements were real slow, and so on. Ach! I forgot to reuild the Bashed Patch! So I rebuild the patch and halfway through it stops, and I get this message: Destination folder access denied
You'll need permission to move this folderBasically it kept trying to move something called "WryeBash_temp"[b] into my Data folder. It kept asking for Administrator action, so I click on that, press YES, but it kept saying some other weird message. I could not rebuild the stupid patch. To solve, all I had to do was run the entire Wrye program as Administrator from the getgo, but it took a bunch of hours before I thought of this. But anyway, my question is: what was Bash trying to do, exactly? What is WryeBash_temp? I couldn't find anything like that in the main Skyrim folder or its Data folder. Just curious.

It is the file that will be renamed as your bashed patch esp when it’s finished. Using a temporary name lets the replace/rename decision be left to the end, so you only replace with a good one. If the build succeeds, it gets renamed. If the build fails, it gets deleted, so it should not exist after. Your previous bashed patch is still there, until there’s a valid replacement.

Whew ...
Following a mini lunch (a scoop of black beans plus a small amount of diced onion and a bit of Red Wickles) I returned to my secondary PC. First item on the agenda; check email in Brave Browser. No go. I tried again. And again. I kept getting messages about too many redirects being sent. I booted the Primary PC and tried to check email via Firefox. No go there either, with warnings that I was attempting to reach an address that could never be completed.
Back on my secondary PC and Brave, I decided to delete its cookies, stored site info, and so on. A drastic step, but worth a shot.
While doing so, I discovered a nifty feature of Brave that I don't recall existing in Firefox (though it might). Brave allows me to select how long a time-period worth of data to delete. As the issue wasn't present mid-morning, I figured I ought to be comfortably safe choosing 24hrs, and lose next to nothing. This proved to be the case, plus resolved the email issue, on both PCs!
I've nothing worthwhile to report on my primary PC eye-frying monitor issue. Well, actually there's lots to report. But none of it resolves the issue, so is best saved for another time.

QUOTE(mirocu @ May 5 2023, 11:14 AM) I wonder what that was all about I found reference to a lot of people suddenly getting the issue when I did. A number said it was the DuckDuckGo extension, which I use. Supposedly, turning it off, clearing the browser cache, and then re-enabling it solved the issue. I decided to leave things as they were, figuring (currently) that the issue would soon sort itself out. BUT, everything I found was about italic text. I found nothing on cursive.

I see. Well, I'm gonna leave it as is too, keeping your report as a reminder on what to try next time it happens. QUOTE(Decrepit @ May 5 2023, 07:02 PM) BUT, everything I found was about italic text. I found nothing on cursive.
From what I can gather, it's the same thing. I think the cursive font is named Italic.
