Khajiit has spent earlier today playing the new Legend of Zelda. Currently, he and Mrs. Khajiit are heading to a Mexican restaurant for a late lunch/early dinner, and after that we are going to a friends house for our bimonthly DnD game.

It is, but since it's voluntary and something that benefits us, I'm ok with it

It goes up to 640 x 480 on normal quality and with higher quality 320 x 240 and super high quality 160 x 120. It also does "mobile mode" which is on 128 x 120.

Well, the shotgun is a good gun and packs a lot of punch. But for home defense I think it's way overpowered and can, depending on the ammo, easily go through drywalls into the next apartment (in my case). If we go by the standard two-shotter, that's a limit in itself. Also, the average person is more prone to be knocked around themselves simply by shooting it if they're not used to shooting. And when those two rounds are gone, reloading under high stress is not an easy task although probably necessary. Assailants often come in multiples.

In contrast the MP5 has low recoil, holds many more rounds which is an important factor when adrenaline is high and you might miss, is easier to reload if you have another mag preloaded, and the 9mm is (I think) less likely to go through walls as the power isn't like a 12 gauge.

But hey. If a shotgun is what you have, like in my case, then that's what you use. And honestly, as long as you hit, one round is likely more than enough

I feel like a lot of the time, if someone sees a 12guage being leveled their way, they suddenly remember that they had somewhere else they needed to be, so you may not even have to fire it!

In all seriousness, you make some good points. I’m curious what kind of hoops I’d have to jump through to be able to own a full auto SMG. Hmmm….

Another thing is that racking sound from a pump. If the would-be assailant isn't too tough it may be all you need to do. This is something police offiers can actually attest to from what I've heard.

Only problem with all this is if they run away they can come back


I know how I react to sudden stress and I can say I pretty much lock up, depending what it is. I can't think. I would probably forget how to even reload a shotgun at that point even though I can do it in my sleep. Stress is not to be taken lightly and if all you need to do is pulling the trigger again and again, that might help immensely.



Probably not too many since you're in Murica. I however need to join a shooting club, be a very active member for at least six months, get approval from the club so I can get them to authorize me and by the time I apply for a license get on my knees and pray. And I am way too lazy to do all this

Yeah it’s easy to talk about what one would do in a situation, but the reality is no one knows for sure how they would react until actually in a situation. I feel I would probably just ditch the shotgun after unloading it. I can’t imagine having the presence of mind to actually break it open, pull out the spent shells, and stick in some new ones.


I dunno, I think full auto is a whole different can of worms. They are already wanting to ban “assault style� rifles. But that is not a conversation for these forums.
