QUOTE(Konradude @ Jul 23 2005, 06:12 PM) How about when we finally finish this one, killing Arcyatk, then we finish it off by starting an in between history bit. So Mergirl would put Celia went to healer school. And then dantrag puts he follows mergirl there and they marry. Just in more detail. Then in a way we cater for both peoples wants. The same Rp, but a new plot line. Then we start another RP where we all meet up again years later, because Azura has another task for us. Or there is a competition of all the differnet parts of what we do. Then we find out it is a group thing and we team up again to win. This lets any othres who want to join be in the rival group from us. It doesn't mean either side is good. Whaddya think? Could work.. But I still see this RP as a little bit boring, due to that the plot is so easy. Stop Arcyakt, by killing him or something so he cant soul trap people and use their souls to make a army. And over the time we have needed to throw in Werewolves and other creatures just to keep it alive, and I dont think it should be that way.. So if we should make a new one, after we finish this.. with or without these characters. The one who makes and comes up with the idea of the plot should make it a little more 'advanced' then just a evil mage escapes from Oblivion to make a army and take control over the world.. Make it more like a real RPG Campaign..

Perhaps something more step-based? IE, rather than finding Arcyakt immediately, we find out of a group of bandits that are becoming very brutal, even attacking cities just to kill people it seems. After defeating them we find a sorcerer who leads them, who has evidence on him being under employ of a necromancer. Then we get attacked by a bunch of undead sent by the necromancer. When we find and defeat the necromancer, we find out that he was working under the employ of a powerful vampire. We track + kill this vampire and find out that he was bound to do the bidding of Arcyakt. Only then we start tailing Arcyakt.. We might also want to add some more detail to the villain. A good article about villain creation can be found here . This post has been edited by BobV: Jul 23 2005, 08:27 PM

But, I agree that the plot needs some working on... What do you mean, 'make it more like a RPG campaign'? What is considered a RPG campaign? Strict/complex rules like in D&D or something?

Well.. BobV, your idea is something more of a more advanced campaign RP.. Because it might take several days of gaming before we find out the main plot.. For example.. Some pirate's outside the west coast of Vvardenfell have been raiding boats that have been transporting expensive stuff like diamonds and stuff like that and they seem to be quite powerfull, but only after gold and other wealthy things.. We meet up, and we get send to what seems like their hideout. We kill them but we dont find out anything so we think its just a random group of pirates. It soon happen again, and as last time it seems like they have a good taste for diamonds etc. We find what seems to be their leader, who gets all taunting and intimidating about the classical 'You dont know what your dealing against' etc. After a while, we find out that they have been collecting diamonds, rubies etc. for a powerfull Battlemage who is going to use these 'magical' stones to enchant a old godlike artifact. And of course he needs souls, and soon small raids on important people of elite warriors who manage to kill and trap the souls of these powerful men and women... We start understanding the real deal, and get summoned again by the current leader of Morrowind or something. That we need to stop this crazy man before he has enough power to challange the whole Morrowind... And out of that much complicated stuff might need to be done, we might find out the lad is immune to magic and we need to collect scrolls and artifacts powerfull enough to beat this Battlemage and we come in many small ecounters of his minions;) And in the end we manage to find him, where a epic battle takes place and we might win or lose. Or just retreat finding out we need more experiance Something like that.. This post has been edited by Fuzzy Knight: Jul 23 2005, 08:40 PM

QUOTE(BobV @ Jul 23 2005, 03:30 PM) Nope, more with a twisting plot that ends up with [insertanyoneinvolvedhere] saving the world, but not really seeming like that at first start. Neverwinter Nights might serve as an example in a pinch. Er, isn't that just a plot twist, though? (Never played NWN, so I do not know how that works..) Not quite sure what Fuzzy Knights is trying to say, except maybe a more realistic villain and perhaps a more interesting plotline. EDIT: But, Fuzzy, your example sounds almost like the plot this RP sort of originally had. Evil dude, we find out evil dude's exploits, find artifacts/source of power/whatever, then have a head-on final battle with evil dude. This post has been edited by MerGirl: Jul 23 2005, 08:42 PM

Yeah.. thats because I thought of the same, but only that this would be a totally different deal, where we didn't need to throw in Werewolves on a clifftop to keep things going and meeting up with so much that has little to do with the quest. But it was Hukai who started it - and he left, I dont know about his plans but of course that ruined the very base line and ideas he had.. QUOTE(BobV @ Jul 23 2005, 09:45 PM) Hmm, I thought we were going to use the same characters, maybe. Unless you want a different one. Of course we can have our same characters, that would be a nice reason for why we were taken out to do this quest in the first time This post has been edited by Fuzzy Knight: Jul 23 2005, 08:47 PM
