QUOTE(mirocu @ Dec 18 2023, 11:55 AM) A newer or at least another one. I've had dodgy heating for the last six years but now it's gone completely. Well, unless I rev the engine from time to time. It's manageable, but the thing's getting old and something much expensive might happen. It's all a guessing game, but at the same time I don't wanna shill out for another car just yet unless this ones gives up because I don't know how long work will last.
You have the opposite problem that I have. My car has no AC., which is a BIG problem in the 100f (38c)+ summers that we have here. I’ve taken to calling it “the Hellcar”, lol. It’s even devil red… where the paint isn’t oxidized anyway. The heat works fine in it so driving it in the winter is actually nice.

Red, in those ever decreasing areas where paint hasn't vanished . . . CHECK. Crappy AC in hot weather . . . CHECK! Heats fine in winter (which only makes sense) . . . CHECK. Being retired, with planning, I can normally avoid traveling during the worst heat of a summer day. On the other hand, having no carport/garage I can catch quite the chill scraping ice off car windows/windshield on a cold winter day.

QUOTE(Sakiri @ Dec 19 2023, 02:39 AM) But you'll probably need a car for the next job. Or groceries. Or something.
Yeah. And get this: Ten years ago when I was unemployed, and had less money than now mind you, I had no issues buying an excavator for 156.000 SEK. But now having had a job for coming up on seven years I hesitate buying a car for roughly 70.000. *sniff* Yeah, don't ask me to explain that for you

Don’t get me wrong though, it does it’s job really well. Much better than Sandlers for sure, lol
