QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 20 2024, 12:38 PM) That knockback b-s is one of the biggest gripes I've ever had with games, hands down. Ok if the character gets hurt by touching an enemey but don't send him flying back to Alabama!
Lol, right?

QUOTE(Sakiri @ Nov 23 2024, 06:23 AM) Yarn ordered. Gonna do two, one ocean and one sunset themed. Then maybe a pairing of the two. Lap sized cat stitch afghans. Catghans!
Mrs. Khajiit got into knitting and crocheting this year and thinks that pattern is really cute!

QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 24 2024, 10:39 AM) That's cool! I have owned a brand new bike but never a brand new car. Mind to share a pic of your A3? I've had two Quattros and I'll never go back to 2WD as the 4WD has proved to be essential, especially since I had to drive to work in winter and they never plow my side of the road in time, having me do the plowing with the car Much as we complain about the weather and roads over here in the UK, I think we forget that our idea of bad weather other countries would look at as mild lol. I'll take a photo later and share. Shiny, shiny, shiny

QUOTE(mirocu @ Nov 24 2024, 01:58 AM) Edit: I keep looking at this 2013 Audi A4 Quattro. Just window shopping and I'm not planning to get it as it has stuff I don't like like start/stop, FSI engine (which is prone to suddenly crashing) and automatic transmission. It does look nice though. Too nice in fact for a lowlife like me. Also, I want to keep my 13000 USD because I'm cheap I would like to take a minute to complain about disturbing trends in modern automobile design. Push to start. Remote start. Lane assist. Automatic breaking. Extensive reliance on computers to run almost every aspect of the machine. I find these to be wholly unnecessary and the reason for them isn’t some insincere concern over safety, it’s because it drives up the cost of vehicles while also making it nigh impossible to work on them yourself. Frankly, if I need a new car in the future, I’m highly considering going to one of those car auctions and bidding on a much older car that has been redone.

The big one for me has been the move away from controls you can use without taking your eyes off the road. I will not buy a car that uses a touch screen. And I did just buy an old car for those reasons, plus it was cheaper than a rental for the period I needed.
