I think I'll have that drink and make it a double shot of vodka. I had a very heartbreaking morning today. I had to say farewell to my German Shepard Rosie/Brosie. I took her to the vet this morning and She had a tumor that grew from her spine and it was pretty much fatal. She was about 11 years old and came from a family that didn't want her, but I gave her 6 years of a happy loving home and I'll get her ashes back. I'm going to miss her belly modes and loving her. Loki's got some big shoes to fill.

You know it. I dedicated my home to nothing but making her happy and giving her all the belly loving's she could ever want. Unlike when I lost my Rottie mix Loki 1, this time I got to say goodbye to her and I'll get her ashes back so I won't be having that guilt and grievance hoovering around me.

Loki 2 has some BIG shoes and bellies to fill.

When we got our current cat Smulan, we immediately saw her as her own and didn't compare her to our lost Molle as I think it would be somewhat unfair to her. Smulan is lovely in all her own ways and I wouldn't want her to try to live up to Molle even if she could.

Maybe this can be applied to Loki 2 as well.

Rosie going to be a hard dog to beat. You'll never find a more loving and funnier dog to be around. At least I'll have her ashes, so she'll be with me forever but man I'm going to miss holding her and seeing her belly moments T_T.

Thanks, sadly cancer is one of the leading early deaths in German Shepards which is why they have about a 9-10 year lifespan. Such a horrible fate for such a wonderful dog.
