QUOTE(mirocu @ Jan 27 2025, 12:04 PM) Yeah, that is one good thing about the game for sure. Tremere is quite different from Malk but both clans are great imo. Tidbit: regarding the drug house you go to for Mercurio. I never knew you could just talk to the guy guarding the fence. I just naturally assumed everyone was hostile on sight so I've only ever snuck through and stealth killed everyone Yep, I forget how it plays out though. I like sneaking around back, cutting the power, and then trying to take them all out stealthily.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Jan 27 2025, 12:30 PM) Yep. Been doing things stealthily since Deus Ex times so that approach came naturally to me. Never questioned it one bit. Btw, Thaumaturgy and Animalism at highest levels = ridiculously OP What Clan mixes those disciplines?

Oh, I meant Tremere's Thaumaturgy and Gangrel's/Nosferatu's Animalism. Didn't mean to intend one clan had both. Lol, my bad, I misunderstood. I took it to mean those together were OP instead of each individually OP. I really like upper levels of Dementation too.

Sold! Now I just gotta find the time to play... QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Jan 27 2025, 01:00 PM) I think one thing that helped Bloodlines click for me was that it felt (to me anyway) a bit like a TES game.
To me it looks more like GTA from those times. Maybe it's the urban look in that video.

I think Khajiit meant the leveling up thing and general RPG elements. But otherwise I can see how you get a GTA feel from the atmosphere. Although it is no where near as free roaming and you cannot be openly violent and drive around hitting grandmas Or drive cars for that matter. Best you can do is ride in a taxi… But yeah, the RPG systems, the way dialogue works (that is actually really similar to Fallout3/New Vegas), the 1st and third person gameplay. The campiness is similar to GTA3-San Andreas. This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Jan 27 2025, 10:05 PM

Never played San Andreas, but Liberty City was actually my first real open-world game, before Oblivion "ruined" most other games on my end! But I mean... GTA simply cannot compare. We play a fixed character, haven't even got a choice of male or female. Oblivion was not just a step in the right direction for me, it WAS the direction I needed in 2008. Huh? What's that? I'm off-topic? Dang. Always happens, doesn't it? Anyway, the fact I've got some options, even M or F, at the start of Vampire is wonderful.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Jan 29 2025, 01:57 PM) Khajiit - Favourite hub and sub area?
I like the Chinatown area, but I’m very partial to Santa Monica. It’s the zone that made me fall in love with the game. So, Chinatown second. Fav sub-area would be Ocean House or Dr. Grout’s mansion. These are both very atmospheric zones and I enjoy playing through them every time (I know you are tired of Ocean House). The only similarities between GTA3-San Andreas is some of the humor. Other than that, they aren’t really all that similar. V:TM-B is definitely a fun game with lots of options for your character! Can’t recommend it enough. Get it on GOG and it includes the patch you need to play the game on modern systems. Just a word of warning though: the combat can be a little janky, and thus takes a little getting used to. This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Jan 29 2025, 11:42 PM

You know, I was gonna say like always that Chinatown is my fave but you bring up a good point about Santa Monica. It's an interesting place, perfect to start at, and it had good music. I'm so conflicted here so I'll have to say it's tie for me on those hubs. As much as I indeed am tired of Ocean House it really isn't bad per say. Think I've just played through this game too many times to the point it's become just another day at work, you know But for my fave sub I think I'm gonna say Hollowbrook Hotel. Perfect for a Malk and interesting to finally go hunt some Sabbat!

Doesn’t that have the detestable zombies in it? This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Jan 30 2025, 07:05 PM

QUOTE(mirocu @ Jan 30 2025, 12:22 PM) Not from what I remember. It just has a whole bunch of Sabbat. There is this second fight with Andrei at the end sure, but that fight is much easier than the first one so I don't mind.
You know, I think I’m thinking of the Brotherhood of the Ninth Circle building. Where you go to confront Bishop Vick.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Jan 30 2025, 12:38 PM) Sort of suspected that. And yeah I don't like that place. Zombies are difficult, they spawn endlessly and Vick himself is a major pain When I did that quest with Brigitte, she had way more trouble with Brother Kanker.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Jan 30 2025, 01:59 PM) Really? Well, at least he's just the one enemy. Vick has his followers and he keeps celereting around like a little b - something With Kanker I like to stun him whenever I can with VoD. It doesn't do a whole lot but it gives you a small breather and lets you attack him better. I think I ended up spamming blood buff.
