I remember working in our local mall back in the early 00s. It was rather strange being their after everything closed and there were no other people around.

Yeah, I've seen those videos being on youtube. Haven't watched them though. Too busy with other ones.
There's a small mall in the town where I had my last three years of school which is also still open. Surprisingly it actually has most shops still in business, including dining and coffee areas. -------------------- Lol bird

It’s probably due to some difference between Swedish shoppers and American shoppers. It seems that different generations of American shoppers have different ideas about how shopping should be. Malls gave way to the strip mall concept. Now a ton of shopping is done online. I reckon malls as they were in the 80s and 90s will make a come back of sorts a couple generations down the line.
