Quite an educational walk as Preston and Genesis patrol Concord while we learn more of supersoldier's bionic powers.

Is it fun to use power armor in Fallout 4?

It can be, if you build your character around it. Kinda of an all-in thing with it but some perks make it a blast, and you never have to worry about rads.

I thought they did a good job with power armor in Fallout4. Lore-wise, power armor was always supposed to be more like a mech than a suit of armor, and they definitely nailed the feel of this in F4.

Sounds cool. Does power armor protect against rads in 3 as well, or just a little?

I’m pretty sure power armor came with a hefty rad resistance in 3.

Random question; does Fallout 4 have an area with insane radiation like vault 87?

Sort of. The Glowing Sea is a heavily irradiated area in the south west corner of the map. It is not as bad as Vault 87, in that it won't kill you instantly. But if you want to explore there you need to load up on massive radiation resistance items first, like a rad suit or power armor, plus lots of rad-x and rad away.

Radioactive rain sometimes spikes with more +RADS during some moments than other moments. Not sure if that would be considered "insane" though, nor does it ever come close to what I remember from 87. ☢

Thanks, guys. It is interesting that there is weather changes in Fallout now other than sunny or overcast as in 3.

I had a mod in Fallout 3 which added other weather types, but I chose not to use radioactive rain, which is why I'm having such a learning curve in Fallout 4, which includes rad rain by default. indifferent.gif Wish I could just get rid of it honestly, but mods for that sort of thing on Xbox don't seem to exist.

Most weather mods tend to crank up the intensity of storms. There are some that add packs of feral ghouls that spawn during radstorms.

Edit: Renee, I would still look into some of the weather mods. I used to run Vivid Weathers and IIRC it came with a holotape that you could stick in your Pip Boy to control the weather. I remember using it to turn off nasty storms that started at inconvenient times.
