QUOTE(MerGirl @ Aug 13 2005, 08:21 PM) Celia sternly pinched Sel's arm. "As long as you do not get hurt, killed, or maimed, you can have your walk. If you do get hurt, killed, or maimed, you will recieve a severe ear-tweaking, m'kay?" Who knows when the mage-man will come? Celia's face brightened as she faced Fenris. "Mister Nord, is there anything I can do to help? And where is mister Kitty?" "Ear tweaking? Better not even risk the walk." Sel muttered as he sat down. OOC: lol I only had Sel say that to start some activity in the thread... QUOTE(Channler @ Aug 13 2005, 08:38 PM) The army crested over the low hills to Vivic, the cantons, namely the Foreign Quarter, were in growing site of Alton. The conscructs line the front row, 40 long by 30 deep, in row of about 5. They were the vanguard, and Alton was even ahead of them. A cold sweat dripped from his forehead, as it always did before battle, the world became narrow, more focused. All sounds but those that were the most usefull seamed to flee from his presence. Arkyact... Please here me now, grant me one last wish so that I may over come this place. Remeber the deadra of Cyrodil? Perhaps we could call upon their help in distracting those archers on the top tiers?
By his best guess Alton was nearly within firing range of the arrows. An odd calm encomposed him..
MageActually, Alton, Arcyakt began. Those daedra owed me a favor and granted it - I can't get another. I can come if you want....

The archers held their arrows knocked.
As the constructs charged, the mages unleashed spells of ice and fire. freezing constructs into place, and melting others into red glowing pools of molten metal.
"Do not aste all your energy yet, Megil said. knowing this was but a sampling of the army.
Alchemists worked non stop withinh the second level of the canton, producing as many potions as they could, of restore Magicka, and Health,
A messenger approached Megil,
"Sir, there appears to be a sickness spreading within the citizens in the cantons."
"What kind of sickness, do we know. I want all those who show symptoms to be isolated, that includes soldiers. send some priests from the temple to deal with this.
Megil knew that somehow the poison had gotten into Vivc, probably from a refugee or something. He also was glad that he had the entire city of vivec seperated hours before the incoming refugees. the army had no contact with the inner cantons, expcept the first few, that had been evacuated of citizens to be used as barracks.

We have company, seems the commander can't cdo it, so Arcy has come himself Sheogorath warned, You may want to sieze magic
Megil cursed beneath his breath. He did not need arcyakt here. he sent word through messengers telling the mages to sieze. he did not want the command to be said outloud, the enemy couldn't know that he knew.
A few mages, soon found out why the magic had been siezed. not listening they hurtled spells at the constructs, only to see them hurtle back at the caster.
Megil looked at teh water below, he knew there where huge serpentine creatures beneath the surface awaiting his command.
the barricade was holding back the constructs, gashing at them, and tearing some to bits.
a messenger arrived with news that one of the trebuchets was finally built.
"Good, let them suffer as fire falls down on them from above"

"Nice of you to stop by" Alton was slightly distracted as the army was just engauging the defenders on the other side of the bridge.
"This is only fraction of the vanguard, and when the time comes and blitz should be in store." Alton unsheathed his sword, "Now if you excuse me.."
Alton jumped into the front lines, among the spears and the metal blades, and quickly started targeting the infantry commanders.
One man, in the rear was shouting out orders, "Hmm, first target." He managed to mutter before leaping over a man and slicing the backs of his legs. The commander began shouting louder and pointing at Alton as he inched forward, occasionally ending the life of a peasent or warrior as he trudged closer.
At this time the commander drew his own short sword, Alton merely laughed. Charging the man brought up for a high strike, one that would of worked if Alton hadn't grabbed the man by the neck and lift him off the ground. "Please... have mercy!" The man shouted.
Dark red blood dripped down Alton first as he squeezed, the man squirmed but couldn't get away. Then Alton felt a the weight of a dead man upon his arm.
Numerous contructs followed in behind Alton as he clashed his way inward. So far at least several of the machine groups had made it across the bridge, overwhelming the human, and mer defenders.

Ha, I knew it, well how do you think they will deal in their own poisined water?
At once Alton called the 13 Imperial battleships to move forward, they close in around Vivic and took massive fire from above.
Good, go ahead, sink the ships..
Another dead soldier lay on Altons blade, he managed to pick the body up and fling it at the person behind him, possibly killing him.
"Move forward the rest of the Vangaurd!"
5000 more constructs started moving across the bridge...

In an instant huge serpents burts from the water, their scales a myraid of colors due to the sun hitting them. They lunged forwards, crushing constructs beneath their scaly bodies, and snapping at others. Even though there weren't but 50 of them, they were holding back the constructs. the machines weapons incapable of breaking through the scales.
there also emerged sylphs in their feminine form. only someone who had encountered a sylph could tell you that the serpents and the women where the same race. And none who had seen this ever lived, with the exception of Anthanes, and Megil.
the sylphs moved fluidly through the defenders, like a silent stream of water, attacking only the constructs with javelins, and swords.
Megil, watched the constructs. Good, let us take them downa sphere of water forming on his palm, and growing larger.
Don't target any of the constructs, instead target the ground, That way when it hits, it is no longer a spell, but water. then it will splash onto the constructs, corroding their chassis and gears. Sheogorath advised Megil.
Megil smiled, madness was indeed brilliant.
He sent the sphere of water crashing in front of the constructs, watching as the after tidal splash, corroded several rows of combatants. those behind ran into the ones that were no longer functioning, grinding them into a fine dust.

Alton and a large number of constructs were trapped on the other side of the bridge when the new attack came, "Hmm, clever aren't they?"
"Bring the boats closer!" Alton shouted, and whithin mere seconds he recieved the word that must of the boats were sunk beneath the shadows of the Cantons. Altons eyes lit up, "Good, I sure hope the Sylphs care for the water"
When the ships were damaged far enough they blew up from the inside out, as a powder keg would. But instead of just simply blowing up, they spouted a dark green sticky goo. When this touched the water it sunk right away, right to the bottom of the water, slowly, then much faster, letting off a strong poision the change the water from its normal colour to a much darker, black. That it choked the air out of the water, and whatever it stuck too cause hindered it from moving. It was only the first step in the plan though.

OOC: why must Vivec fall? it is far more heavily defended than Ald'rhun. it would make more sense that it survive instead of Ald rhun. I think the others should flee to Vivec through the mage's guild. and let the final showdown take place. it makes more sense than ald'ruhn IMHO.
IC:
Megil smiled, he went deep into meditation as hed tried to contact teh spirits of the sylphs.
"break free from your bonds and run again as free as the sea"
Nothing happened for several minutes, then the ground began to shake, and a deathening roar broke ou across the ice, it had begun to crack. the vile poison remaining frozen and sinking to the bottom.

since poison is not water.
water is rare in that when in a solid state, it is lighter than the liquid state.

QUOTE(Megil Tel-Zeke @ Aug 13 2005, 10:16 PM) since poison is not water. water is rare in that when in a solid state, it is lighter than the liquid state. Err.. I think not, I don't think you understand my poision (or my ability to spell either) It rests on the bottom of the sea floor, and then lets off a gas, which is light then water. But see the gas attracts most oxygen molecules and simply rises it out of the water. Really it just kills everything in the water and its horribly difficult to do away with.. so no, If you get Sylphs I get to poision the water So if you just froze the water, which I'm not sure if you did (Make your damn post clearer) then in all honesty the compassion is to hot and it'll just melt the ice...
