Alright, I'm a movie buff. I'm a history buff first, a book buff second, and a movie buff third. I love good movies. Here's my list of my 7 favorite movies. These, in my opinion, are the best movies every made, and some are controversial, but like most hard-core movie buffs, my taste in movies are alternative.
7) Batman Begins
Really great lines, and some very fine actors. It was the best look at my second favorite comic-book hero, and after they screwed up Constatine I was very relieved. The philosophy of Batman felt so relatable that I ate it up.
6) American Beauty
Wonderfully done. Even the inexperienced actors gave knock-down performances. It all felt so real, so gritty and yet really wasn't. Not only that, but the idea of being able to see the world's beauty after you find something spectacular touched down. That monologue was excellent.
5) Once Upon a time in Mexico
The fourth installment of the series of El Mariachi, Desperado and Desperado 2. This is the only one I really liked, and it wasn't that great. Hundreds of movies beat it, I just loved the feel so much.
4) Shawshank Redemption
Everybody knows it.
3) Donnie Darko
Easily third. It's disappointing because in the US it was advertized as a Slasher, and it wasn't at all. It was about growing up in a way, with a few other themes mixed in, loved it.
2) Scarface
Al Pacino is a master. The story was nothing special, the rise and fall of an American gangster, but Pacino's acting is so good, and his lines were so excellent.
1) Crash
Best movie I've ever seen. Can't even describe it, you just have to see it.
Point of this topic is to list your favorite movies. It's been done in Coffee shop once, but that was a long time ago.

And the Buddha replied, "Why not try crawling into the blazing furnace?"
