Shogun, Iw asn't talking in size, but in system, in allegiances, that sort of stuff. I'd rather have more room to be creative on my side instead of having it too mapped out that I feel like I'm forced into a slot, espiecially when it comes to Space RPGs where I have tons of experience. It won't be too confusing if it's too big, but between the planets that are the playing field there are moons, suns, asteroids belts, space heaps, tons of things the players can create ourselves. Part of the creative process of an RPG is that we're nopt jsut acting out someone else's creation, that's a play. In an RPG there's input frome veryone into the world we make.

The way its set up is interesting, it gives enough info about the current happenings and you can sorta make up the history of it..

Sounds good.

But not limited to just...locations. Maybe technology as well can be kinda vague. Just 'Sci-fi'. That way you can mess around and have some creative stuff.

Like, one guy might be over there with like, a light-saber-katana thingy, while the other guy has cybernetic modifications drastically increasing strength and reaction time, while at the same time, making them weigh a ton (and thus, be rather painted when they fall in water or something..).

Sounds plausible enough.. Maybe like a short saber or what not. Not to over do it though. (OMG this is gonna turn into a HALO RP...)

Rithum isn't laser or energy though...We'll run with that.

Edit: And the blades in Halo are Plasma.

And I doubt that would be 'haloness', Plasma isn't a halo exclusive item. Aliens tend to have lots of plasma/energy/etc. weapons.

It's a rather new substance

I guessing its like a metal or a composite but incredibly hard and very possibly green.

I left the color open, so that everyone could have their own Rithum colors. (or maybe I just made up a reason why i didn't specify color)

Anyways, they are extremely durable crystals.

Bah.

Solid material doesn't really have the portability of a energy weapon.

I mean, weith a energy blade you can (assuming its a sword of some sort) pull out the hilt and flip it on and bam, blade's there, very portable, easily concealable. Probablly adjustable length too. '

The only downfalls are that it probablly needs to be recharged every one and awhile, and likely won't work in water...

and is also extremely cliche in sci-fi things. I'm trying to make this a little different.

And seeing as Rithum is used as reinforcement in ship hulls and is used to make armor, I'm sure it's durable enough.

Besides, you look way cooler carrying around a sword than you do a little tube with a button.

You also look more conspicuous. The point of the portabilitty is to be able to conceal it and whip it own fast. Surprise attack.

And crystal stuff isn't exactly original either, I've seen it before.

At least we get to have laser/plasma/whatever ranged weapons? Right?

Oh, and what about aliens?

Crystal is a little less cliche. ever since star wars, laser swords have become extremely prominent. Almost to the point where anyone who uses them bsides Jedi or Sith, i feel a strong urge to kill them.

Well, obviously not everyone should use a laser sword.

Its hard to use a weapon like that, no weight to a energy-blade besides the hilt. A novice easily can lose track of the blade and thus lose a body part...

But Aliens = yay.

And Itas a good thing you got laser/plama/deathrat/whatever gun. I'd have shot you otherwise.

I'm feeling for doing a dual pistol kinda Ryki.

Or a engineerish kinda Rykar/Ryki with a rather large machine gun.
