True but, it might be suspicious if you became the DB guildmaster and diddn't bump into anything regarding the main plot. Perhaps you will be able to ask them right off the bat "Did you kill the emperor?" wink.gif

Hmm... Well I think that its either some Daedra Cult or something, or the DB. As Stargie said, there's almost no job to big for the DB so even thought killing the emporer would releash creatures from Oblivion it might have been a darn good payment tongue.gif

QUOTE(Daikirai @ Sep 15 2005, 11:33 AM)
Since when are assassins supposed to be difficult to kill? People are incorrect in their always present assumption that assassins use stealth. An assassin is, simply put, a killer, not a god.

As for the original topic: "Why would someone want the Emperor dead?" For the same reason I want Bush dead. Because their crappy rulers, Septim even more than Bush, because Bush is only ruining my life for another 3 years. Septim could, theoretically, live forever. But thanks to our handy dandy n00b assassins, he gets pwned.

Sine when is Septim a crappy ruler? Could you explain? Considering the time period he has lived in he has done pretty well. In fact I remember reading that the beginning of his reign was a golden age for Tamriel.

I have the answer.

It's Terence Stamp's character. He wants Oblivion to open so he can take over the world.

And the Buddha replied, "Why not try crawling into the blazing furnace?"

Actually, the "The British are coming..." press release has a bit of a spoiler which lends a lot of weight to DoomedOne's suggestion. Not sure if people want to read this, since it is a spoiler (I was annoyed when I read it), so I'll colour it white on white. Select it (just hitting control-A will probably do) to read.

"Having never done voice work for a video game before, I really had no notion of what to expect," said Stamp. "Bethesda did a great job in providing the tone and theme for the character and it was fun to give life to the villain in the story, who is a very thoughtful man from a different line of kings who seeks to realize his own vision for the empire."
