Hmmn, what is Isaarin currently doing right now? Malik is in a frenzy on the battle field. He currently has killed 2 goblins and 2 soldiers. EDIT: I created Malik's backstory. I could have done better but I was rushed and under time constraint. QUOTE(Intestinal Chaos @ Oct 10 2005, 08:05 AM) Brief History: Malik grew up a sickly and scrawny child with his 3 brothers and negligent parents in the slums of a rural Imperial town. He was always odd and fragile and was often beat up and made fun of by his brothers and the neighbor children.. Malik would constantly babble and talk to himself whilst rocking back and forth and cowered and pleaded before invisible creatures and dangers. He would always play on his own whilst talking to himself by a dirt stream, and was often berrated with dirt and objects as he did so. One day by the said stream at the age of 14 he discovered a corpse. He was fascinated by it and would visit it every day. He became fascinated with death and would capture small animals and dissect them. He went even further and staged elaborate ceremonies where he would drink the blood of the animals he captured. When he was 17 he captured a homeless man and removed his organs and drank his blood. He was discovered by his brother, whom he killed afterwards. Driven by his obsession with death and killing he killed his family and fled into the woods. For months he dwelled in the woods, killing travelers and drifters and dissecting them in his hut. He was discovered and forced out of the woods after some time and took to travelign and killing. Now a grow man he has made a name for himself as a mercenary, doing what he loves best and making money for it.... most the time. This post has been edited by Intestinal Chaos: Oct 11 2005, 05:26 PM

QUOTE(ShogunSniper @ Oct 11 2005, 12:07 PM) thither? is that a word? and i haven't seen florodine on for a while. Why yes it is. As a side note... who likes my new Malik post? PS. I would like someone to interact with Malik during all this battle buisness. He needs some worthy playmates . This post has been edited by Intestinal Chaos: Oct 12 2005, 12:01 AM

Alright if I may make a quick suggestion.
STOP POWERPLAYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
summoning 'hundred's of skeletal warriors -_- I mean come on let us be realistic, the energy required to summon that many is enormous, and the the linkage between the summons and the casters mind(yes summons are dependent on the casters mind, shold the caster be distracted the summon would deteriorate.) would be so astronomical it would kill the caster.
I could understand a dozen or more, if youa re an extremely powerful mage.
so please let us keep the powerplaying to a minimum. powrerplaying forces other players to powerplay in return to survive, so once someone powerplays everyone else has to powerplay.

Seconded. Remember, Dragon Ball Z is not an interesting RP, it's a bunch of people who start off a battle looking pretty normal but because they keep powerplaying each other it looks really stupid and they finish every battle with really high yellow hair. I don't want that, and I hope no one else does either.
Interesting RPs involve weak characters as well as strong ones, and every character needs something that makes them human, some vulnerability, something any character could get them with. Simply because you thought of a way to cover every loose end in your defense structure does not mean you should actually cover every loose end. Interesting RPs involve the exploitation of PCs weaknesses. Otherwise, really, there's no tension, no drama.

agreed, thats why I let the tension in Vivec carry through, i have let murders occur, people escape the undercity, destroy part of the city etc.
but it still has some sweet defenses ^ ^.
