Well, I am officially a road-rage victim.

I was driving around with my brother, and I accidentally cut someone off. Well, the person behind the person I cut off,(I'm talking 8-10 seconds behind) decided that he was angry about it, so he pulled alongside us and began yelling profanities. My brother yelled back, and made a rude gesture, despite my objections, and the guy started following me very closely.

Well, when we hit a red light, this guy got out of his car, and began yelling at us, threatening us and daring us to get out of the car. (he had already tried to get in, but we thought to lock the doors and close the windows.) Well, obviously, we didn't, seeing as my brother has cracked ribs, and I'm no fighting person, so the guy gets mad and begins bashing my car.

Pretty soon, me and my brother start laughing at him, and he just beats the car more.

When the light changed, he got back into his car and pulled a u-turn. Luckily for us, a lady had backed up behind him to copy his license plate number and gave it to us after calling 911. She also gave us her name if we needed her to testify in court.

I just got a call saying he was arrested and confessed.

People never cease to amaze me; who does this other than maniac jerks? I honestly don't care much about the car, because it was free, I just wanted to see that guy taught a lesson.

Yeah sorry about that. You know how it is. I mean, my wife just left me and my roommate told me I still had to pay 500 dollars for rent which was not true and my boss was on my boat. Just, listen I deeply sorry for denting your car but it's a piece of compassion anyway.

Geez. My father is one of those guys who wishes he was a NASCAR driver and my mother is a horrible driver, so I have quite a few of those. (none with me anywhere near them, they try to behave around me)

Once my father flipped someone off, and the guy tried to run him off the road. My dad decided to outrun him, and went around a bend that had a warning sign saying to slow to fifteen miles an hour. He teeok the bend at forty five. So did the other guy, who ended up wiped out on some poor person's lawn.

My dad saw an old lady that had the EXACT SAME car as him, but with a turbo. Naturally, he couldn't let that stand, and he took off at fifty. On a road with a speed limit of thirty.

My mother flipped off a guy in a truck once, and he ran her off the road. (she drives small cars, this guy was in a freakin' truck)

So I am no stranger to the raodrage story, I've seen it from two of three possible sides. (Seen the guy who got ticked off, the guy who caused the person to be ticked off. I haven't yet experienced the joys of roadrage firsthand)

Some people are just having a bad day and don't have a more constructive way to take out their frustration. It's not an excuse, but it's an explanation. Haven't you ever gotten angry for no real logical reason? Same thing, only more anger, more release, more consequences.

Except...you live in california.

And yes, my car is crap. Shut up.

Andthere really is no excuse for that kind of behiavior. It was like a tantrum. And since he was driving, I'll assume he was over 3. wink.gif

Persnonally I find it hilarious when people lose their cool. I'm always quite a calm and collected person but when people flip out and devolve to ape-like violent actions I can't help but bust out in laughter.

Thankfully I have never seen roadrage in action. But we still have some pretty bad drivers here in SC, so I am very thankful that I don't have my license.

I agree, I would probably be crapping my pants from fear but when I read your statements I laughed. If only you had one of those firethrower devices for your car, which you put under the door and it shoots fire out when the car door alarm goes off from a thief or if you press a button.... or something like that...

I try to avoid getting angry, not because angry people are funny (only angry people who can't hurt you are funny) but because angey people seem to lose most of their control. I like to keep my self control. When i get angry, I try to make sarcastic responses untill the anger is gone. Fortunately, since the people I usually get mad at are rather stupid, by the time they get the first remark, I'm already gone. Only problem with a razor wit is that you can cut yourself. smile.gif

I don't like being angry. My family are the only people I get angry at, because my brother and sister have serious discipline problems and my mother and father never discipline them. I remember getting grounded for days on end when I was a kid, for doing much less than they do. My punk siblings never get anything more than sent to their rooms for a few minutes, and when they whine they get let out. They won't even stop misbehaving to listen while being yelled at and then continue misbehaving as soon as the lecturers back is turned, the way some kids do. They just keep on being idiots right through the lecture.

So, while not impossible to anger, I try to keep my cool. Partially because I don't want to hurt someone accidently, mostly because I hate looking like an idiot. And yes, I have occasionally been frustrated at a video game. Of course, I'm usually on the other side of the frustration. My friends tend to lose games and get angry at the game that's "cheating" them.

The only time I really get angry is when the jerks at school think they "own" me and think they can freely insult me or make nasty jokes about me. Fools they are, they know nothing.

I get angry when I stub my toe too, but that is because I feel stupid when I do it...

Heh, funny story Danny biggrin.gif

I've only had one fit of road rage, it was when this 18-wheeler cut me off... omg talk about pissed, cause he sat there beside another 18-wheeler and went 55 on a 70 mph road. Why no clue.

When the other truck turned off an exit I did the same exact thing to him. I got up beside another 18 wheeler and just rode about the same speed as it.

Heh, that dude got mad at me, started blowing his air horns and came up right on my back bumper and all. But hey, if he runs me off the road hes going to jail not me.

Thats what I love about those big trucks, they think there somebody but I do believe most of them are mainly growl and no bite.
