Miles looked at Jonacin, Florodine, and Serene chatting.

Well, you're rather arrogant. He thought after Jonacin's "boasting".

Miles then proceeded to interrupt the conversation.

"I believe you did ask, but you don't have to get all boorish about it.” He said apprehensively.

“I don’t know what makes you important, having a statue. A darn waste it was, to spend time carving a model of you. Sure, I’m sure you aided in some glorious cause,” he added sarcastically, “But so many have done good, yet it seems they are not all recognized with a big statue of themselves to boast about.”

(OOC: Fears confirmed, Miles is a lot like Niran.)

Sel was even surprised by Jonacin's speech, but didn't say anything. And as much as he hated to admit it, he mostly agreed with Niran's little brother. That was one reason why there was no Sel statue in New Vivec. Hopefully there wasn't one anywhere.

"You all do realize that we're sitting here talking nonsense while there's a battle below, right?"

Sel hated diplomacy. Everybody involved always wanted something from someone else involved, and always dropped tiny hints and made pointless small talk. Why not just ask? No need to beat around the bush all the time.

Dimitre, Road

Dimitre didn't know what was going on, he was still spaced out and didn't have very many thoughts going through his head. He kept imagining himself falling through a dark hole, never reaching ground.

Dimitre woke up for a split second, looked at Dahleena and Akar, then passed out again, falling face first at Dahleenas' feet.

Jonacin
Jonacin turned to the irritating young man who had just butted in on his conversation. "Do you think i want that statue you little fool? Everywhere me or my family go, we need guards to hold back the crowd. I'd much prefer to live in obscurity, but it's too late for that now. And if you don't mind, this is a private conversation, so be off with you"

OOC: Jonacin wasn't boasting about the statue, he was making a statement, plus it's sort of a landmark at this point, i'd say, so it was a quick way to get people to recognise him

Serene overheard the conversations between Florodine, Sel, Miles and Jonacin with a faint smile. She agreed with Sel they had to take action soon, no use in just standing there....and above all she agreed with her husband, it really was annoying this statue-issue.....she of all would like those so called landmarks to be gone so that she and her family could live a normal life. Not to mention how much danger it put Leni through!

"Well gentlemen, of which assistance may I be then? My connection with Athyn Sarethi perhaps? In that case maybe Sel here also could contribute!" She blinked at Sel......


Dahleena, on the road

"Ah, he´s alive!! Akar you got to do something, at least make him wake up so he could tell us what´s wrong with him!"

"The battle is nearly won already I just need to give Stauros the signal, and then give my general the signal and we will win. So unless you actually 'want' to fight i suggest you get ready for wherever you are going. Don't take this the wrong way, im not saying you aren't great warriors and that we couldn't use you, however you really don't have to, you have done enough for the people, and so have I for that matter, i will not fight this battle, since i don't need to. Dalrus and Stauros have it handled i should think."

"However i didn't mean any harm by saying i didn't know where the statues are, i was only stating the truth as our ancesters command. Now i would like to have an ally for my city. Megil and I have met, and are now friends, and allies, however i need more then just a city, i need a country on my side, a great house. Telvanni has not had our point of views, and i do not respect them in any way. They have threatened me, and though i highly doubt they could take my city, it would be nice for me to not have to worry in the least. I only ask for an ally, not any gifts, or expectations. My treasury is endless, i will send this solid gold sword to your leader, as a gift of friendship." He said unsheathing the sword.

"Though i should tell you not to use it in battle," Florodine laughed.

Miles, New Vivec

Miles hand flew to the hilt of his sword.

"I won't have you calling me names like that!" He yelled angrily, stepping up to Jonacin.

"I'll stay where I like, the only way you'll get me to run off is through a duel, and hell, I could take you." Miles boasted (yeah, he boasted) haughtily. His childish temper was getting the better of him . . .again.

(ooc: notice the word "boasting". I knew he wasn't boasting.)

Serene, New Vivec

She went cold with anger....how dared this scum threaten Jonacin, her husband, she took a deep breath and .........very silently muttered a well-known incantation that in a few seconds paralyzed Miles.....not that the boy couldn´t think or even speak, but the spell made his limbs very very hard to move, it also somewhat calmed him down, or at least she hoped so due to the modifications she had made of a common "paralyze humanoid-spell"

She then turned to Florodine saying in quite normal voice:

" An ally?, ok.....I really think the Redorans may be willing to aid you, I could try and use my influence on some of the councillors but the final decision must be made by Raavin, the redoran Archmaster, or what do you think Sel?" She turned for a sec to Sel to see if he was "with them" or just in his dreams somewhere...


OOC: A lil´spell won´t hurt Miles.....just shows him where the powers lies huh??

Miles glanced around, obviously confused at his new state.

Well, it was good to know that Jonacin wasn't as arrogant as he made himself look a minute ago. He glanced over at Serene and realized that she was speaking to him.

"Me? Wha-? Since when does House Redoran have an Archmaster? Since when have I been asked to make suggestions concerning the house?" Sel asked, confused.

The Houses had always made decision through the council, and very rarely, a Hortator. Never an...Archmaster.

OOC: didn't you guys learn anything from Niran? No paralyzation! It pisses him off!

"But Sel! where have you been the last years? Of course House Redoran has an Archmaster......Never heard of Raavin? huh? I´m sure he wants to say something in this matter! But of course there has to be a meeting among the councillors...I think we have to talk with Athyn...."

Serene stepped back for a moment, curiously observing young Miles......then she thought she might as well let him free......a few minutes of calming down wasn´t gonna hurt him.....She made a gesture, saying some words and Miles was quite his own self again

Serene checked her backpack to see if everything was ok....when she got a funny feeling of someone close to her being quite nearby.....was it?.....hmmmm

"Saryn?.....are you in trouble?", Serene thought very intense of her son....maybe he would recognise it....maybe

"I've been in Cyrodiil, remember? Anyway, why did the house even agree to have one leader? The Nerevarine had enough trouble trying to become Hortator."

Miles noticed the curious stare from Serene and frowned, realizing that he had gained movement again after several moments.

He began to stretch, though he had only lost flexibility for a few minutes.

Strange, that felt oddly similar to a paralysis effect. . . but who would . . ?

Miles sat down on the wall, and began to think.

These people, they're all very strange. House wars and all that garbage . . .sounds more like a civil war to me. Why don't they just call it that?

(ooc: don't worry, no pissed off Miles today. He has no clue who cast the spell, or even what really happened for that matter. Though he has his suspicions.)

She smiled...."I know you have dear, and I also know about the fuss with the Nerevarine becoming Hortator......but you see Raavin has aquired some pretty good powers in House Redoran.....and he´s a good man that´s why I don´t think we should exclude him in any strategies concerning Redoran.....How about we get Athyn Sarethi here, to start with???"

Serene once again looked at Miles, stretching his limbs.....ok no harm done, that´s good...hmm maybe he didn´t know what happened to him?

"Oh I do hope that he´s more easy to be with than Niran....gosh I wish Niran wasn´t killed"

"Serene, I haven't been involved in House Redoran for a long time; why am I suddenly wanted in meetings? And besides, there are still goblins down there." he said, pointing over the wall to the battle below. "There won't be any left if we don't get down there."

He walked over to Miles. "Come on. Let's see if you're as good with that sword as your brother was."

Miles stood up and unsheathed his sword.

"Yes, let's." He said casually.

Serene, New Vivec

Serene looked very sternly at Sel......with those strange eyes of hers, then she sighed and said:

"Selenil.....There will be an answer to that in due time, I assure you. You used to trust me in out mutual past, and I ask from you now to do it again. Your fate is connected to House Redoran, but in which way I cannot reveal at the moment. You must trust me in this! Now I know you are anxious to fight those goblins below, so I won´t stop you, go there Sel, my friend, fight them.......I´ll be watching over you"

"Hmmm, she thought, I sound like Azura.....when she visits me, but I can´t tell him yet.....and I must see to that he will get out of this coming fight alive"

"Jonacin.....Miles....take care!"

Serene raised her hands, turned to the men ready for fighting.......and moved her lips in a silent....incantation. She had no idea if it would help, but maybe they would be a little less susceptible to .....something?

"Uhh....right."

Does she see the future along with reading minds? Sel thought with a shake of his head.

With a wave, he made his way down from the wall.
