QUOTE(Dantrag @ Dec 30 2005, 12:26 AM) Into the Storm by Blind Guardian. It's pretty hard. But I also have the volume on my guitar and the song turned down so I don't wake my parents up. It's hard to hear. Ha! I got it! Except for the solo... It took me awhile to realize that I had to tune my guitar a half-step lower. And here I was wondering why I couldn't get the Eb.

You could manage it easily, I'm sure. Once you figure out the tuning ( ) and some of the odd stretches towards the end(Use your damned pinky Dantrag!), it's not so bad, and pretty fun to play. I've just now picked up a song that I was trying to learn about a year ago, and couldn't do; Strange Deja Vu by Dream Theater. Since it's the only Dream Theater song without ridiculous sweepeing solos throughout, I figured it would be easy; I was wrong. It's going more easily than it did back then, but the rythms are so weird.

QUOTE(Red @ Jan 9 2006, 07:33 AM) Well keep practicing Danny, because putting things off never helped anyone. I'm sure you can get it and when you do, record it and put it up here cause' I want to hear your amazing skills. What amazing skills? Anyway, I have Into the Storm recorded, I just don't know where I can host mp3s.

After getting Into the Storm and Strange Deja Vu down, I have recently learned the acoustic intro to Dream Theater's "Endless Sacrifice", and Rush's "Spirit of Radio" along with Symphony X's "Accolade II". Now I'm working on Mirror Mirror by Blind Guardian and Of Sins and Shadows by Symphony X. Both are very challenging, and I suppose that I'll have to come back to them when my skills have advance a little (maybe a lot) more.
