Sooo..the cat is out of the bag.

Yesterday, when the new fan interview was published, I thought the short bit about the Collector's Edition in it was all of the promised update on that. But then the newsletter came in, and voila, a full dev diary thingy just on that.

The map is looking good. The boxes are looking ok too, though the ones for XBox are not so great, with that green and white stuff on top of them, kinda spoils the look. The coin that comes with the CE looks good but I wish the writing wouldn't have been "normal" font, more like something exotic, like (but not) Daedric.

The making-of video was funny smile.gif

So, what do you people think of the newsletter?

I thought the newsletter was great. Looking forward to the making of Oblivion documentary.
The video was a nice little appetizer too.

Eventually found it.

Is it me, or is that Lenin-with-hair on that coin?

Nah, that's just the pose of the head. If you rotate it to a normal position every similarity is lost.

Sure, it definitely looks like Lenin. Who else would you put on a coin that says "The empire is law"? It doesn't look much like the emperor as we've seen him; the facial structure is wrong and he looks far too emaciated to be the powerful emperor of Tamriel. I'd be curious to see who they used as a model for the coin (if not Lenin).

It's probably supposed to be Tiber Septim, not the current emperor smile.gif

He's said to born in Alclair Highrock, which would make him a Breton. There is a frontal shot of him that makes him look somewhat elfish and he's become a good 107 years old.
So there is definitely Elvish blood in his veins. Also keep in mind that the man has been fighting wars for most his life, that wouldn't improve his already stocky face.

Lenin wouldn't do the empire is law anyway, but that's for a different topic.
