Depends.. smile.gif

For some who learn the grips fast... and are good with their hands it can be pretty easy as long as u can switch grips fast without 'error', remember them of course tongue.gif

I've only played guitar... 3 years now, dont play that much but in the start it wasn't that hard until I forgot the grips biggrin.gif But to learn the general stuff and just play it isn't that hard wink.gif

I've been playing the acoustic for about three months now and have found it pretty easy. I've written about two or three openings.

seeing as you've played the piano, Channler, I would say that you could easily adjust to guitar.

And all the people that are screaming Ibanez; have you played both? I mean I have, but I hear that Ibanez guitars have weird bridges taht put your guitar out of tune very quickly.

Oh, and carvin has now made its way onto my list.

Doesn't have three pedals though.

I play piano. Looks like that one ^ but it's wooden and like Elongar's has two pedals. I've been playing for about...*thinks* six or seven years. Yarr!

Stand up Bass is where its at and if not I settle for an acoustic.
Really depends on what sound you want.

QUOTE(Neck' Thall @ Aug 19 2005, 01:38 AM)
I Play the cello but don't have a pic of it.

(FYI a cello is essentially a really big Violin, that is held at the knees instead of the shoulder.)
*

I feel bad for anyone who doesn't know that. In my opinion if someone doesn't know what a cello is they are not a "true" music fan. But again, thats just my opinion. Oh yeah, I wish I had a cello. I'm making a home-made one. Better than nothing I suppose lol.

Here is the list of instruments I actually am proficient at and then another list for the other one's I own and am working on. I will post a pic of all of them together later or tommorrow because most of them are at my friend's and I's band pactice room place thing at my friends parents work.

So here goes...

Proficient Instruments

Acoustic Guitar- 6 and 12 string
Piano/Keyboard- Although the other sometimes guitarist sometimes piano player in our band is much better than I. (classical training)
Banjo
Mandolin
Harmonica
Recorder- Alt, I would like to procure a tenor and bass one also.
Kalimba- African finger piano
Saxaphone- Alto

Not So Proficient Instruments

Accordian
Viola
Trombone
Flute

I started playing guitar about 2 1/2 months ago. I am doing pretty well. I can play the rhythm of "For Whom The Bell Tolls" and "I Wanna Rock". I am practicing scales and patterns in scales to learn to play solos.

Right now, I have a cheap Ibanez. I am looking to buy a Gibson SG '61 Reissue or a Gibson SG Standard next March. biggrin.gif

I started playing some basic guitar a few weeks ago. I got the basics down at least.

Dantrag, get a banjo, and everything will be fine.

im making electronic music, and if you dont like forms of that, lets say big beat or drum and bass, you wont like it and shouldnt bother about it.

if you, however, are into different styles of electronic music, you are welcome to check out my site, and dl some of my tracks! id be happy to hear some _constructive_ feedback...

that said, id like to point out that i listen to nearly all types of music, except folk.

Yeah, its pretty mean looking compared to alot of the guitars like it, but I can play some calm and collected songs. My G-310 suits me well because I can play blues, jazz, rock, metal and punk on it without much knob turnin' and the Rage 158 seems to give no sounds when put too close to the G-310, which is always nice.

You're not completely alone, FafsaTheElf. I play classical music on my clarinet and love to listen to it. Call me old fassioned, but I could never get into rap and heavy metal. smile.gif

That's not to say that's all I like. Any Beattles fans out there?
