I'm getting OB for 360 but I dont' have xbox live. does anybody have a quote from a dev saying that they will make the mods available for the xbox360 by means of purchasing a CD (with the mods on it) from a retail store?
I am pretty sure that mods will not be released on CD. While never confirmed one way or the other, it really doesn't make sense for them to do so. Mods will only cost a few dollars and even making a CD with many of them on it would have to sell for much more. That coupled with not knowing how many to make or distribute complicates it even further.
all 360s come with xbox live silver...which you don't have to pay for...just need an internet connection(dsl i think...just anything better then cable) then you can purchase and download items...some things are for free.

Can't you just "lend" the cable from the PC when downloading a mod? I wouldn't imagine that being too difficult.
I actually tried. But it says I need a new IP and my ISP confirmed it. So it's either a router, or a multi-port modem. I would only use Live to voice chat while raiding Dungeons, anyway.
I don't have a quote directly on hand (as I can never remember where I read this stuff, credible as it is), but I do know for sure that there will be NO SEPERATELY RELEASED DVD for the 360. It said that the only way extra content will be available for the xbox is through xbox live. Sorry.
Oh, and if I find where this came from I'll post it here.
will any of them be free?...no game on the 360 has had free game content yet...(except demos)
Sorry, I don't know the answer to that one for sure, as I am a PC kind of a guy myself. However, I have heard that the downloads/plugins other than the construction set will probably cost a couple of bucks for the computer. So, yes, I would assume that they won't be free.
