I bet it's most likely the "never go in the sun" one, like in Morrowind.

I wish that there was some kind of hooded robe (I know that they aren't in OB but I can dream can't I?) that you could wear and since the robe prevented sunlight from touching you, you wouldn't suffer any sunlight damage. It would also be cool if you could wear a helm that covered your entire head and nobody would know that you were a vampire and you wouldn't suffer any sunlight damage

Too bad with all the interviews being done by basic chums and us not hearing about vampired for quite some time, that though I'm sure the guys at bethesda wouldn't mind telling us at this point no one is asking them. Still, I guess it'd be better for the whole vampire thing to remain a surprise.

i cannot recall from where, but in one interview i do remember the developer mentioning that there will be a blood drinking animation! sorry if this has already been said, but i only read the first and last pages. However, whenever asked about the vampires, bethsesda dodged the question like they did with the topic of the unicorn

Well the reason they did that Scroto, is propably since they dont wish to spoil the entire game by giving us everey tiny piece if information we need...

I think I remember hearing also that being a vampire gives you bonuses but if you're in the sun or don't feed you'll grow weaker and lose those bonuses.

Vampirism. Invisibility. Is there any better combanation?

Some of you mentioned that NPC's will have to change their scedules dramatically
when they become vampires. This is of course based on the premisis that vampires cant go out in the sunlight. Well i remember reading somewhere that in oblivian vampires could wander into sunlight as long as they have Feed! recently. Alos if vampirism spreads from one NPC to another i really have a hard time imajining that there wont be some sort of epedemic. ( based on vamps)

ALSO! We aren't even sure that you CAN give other people vampirism! At least, I aren't

But if you CAN give other people vampirism, what I would do is go into a church and bite one, then they would get the entire town at once!

Actually on the subject of the Unicorn in Game Informer A couple months back they said that they saw the unicorn and mentioned that it was the only one and they hoped on it's back and rode it somewhere might have been ther imperial city but it was 100% in the magazine. And on Vampires I personally didn't like them in morrowind because I hated it being night time so I was never a vampire for that soul purpose. But let's hope there is something that counters this then it would be great fun biting someone in there sleep. And as far as I know there is an animation for it.

But then again she might've been bitten when she was old, and thus is stuck looking like an old crone.

She does however, give me hope for Dunmer. Her skin tone is very much like that of Morrowind's. And she has pointy ears. So she's a Dunmer, I think.

And on that note, once the NPC has done their part in whatever it is they're essential for, you can kill them. So, who's up for making the new emperor a vampire?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure she was a pretty ugly non-vampire to begin with.

Interesting thread, was very dissapointed with Vampires in Morrowind.
All I want to know is, is it possible to become a vampire, take a bride and kill a lord who owns a castle and claim it for yourself. Ruling over the small outlying village having the peasents respectivly fearful of you.
Being able to sneak off into a village in the night killing villagers to feed your thirst. The ability to host massive partys and banquets where other lords (and vampires of higher class and nobility) would come. Then every once in a while some noble knights would assault your castle trying to slay you.
If I turned into a vampire I would want to be able to live a real life as a vampiric lord commanding armys of the undead (as a vampiric necromancer) laying seige to other towns and cities, watching the pitiful humans band together trying to stop me (and at times beating me and my armies back).
I don't know to what extent the team will have implimented things like this, but to me the main story and quests are nice but I would prefer the ability to live a life how I want just like Morrowind but in so much more depth.

I does sound as if vampires have been overhauled for Oblivion. I also hope that there will be some good quests for my vampire hunter.

In the new video (the 3 day video), there is a clip of a Dark Brotherhood member professing to a vampire. He looks completly like an average NPC, despite a red tinge to his eyes.

I believe vampires that feed regularly look mortal, while those (such as the Vampire Matriarch) who do not feed often look rather unsettling (white eyes).
