Hi... I just wanted to ask some question regarding my costume. I have made a full cuirass and set of pauldrons made from chitin crab shell. I was wondering if this would be suitable for the contest. I know that there was some discussion over if elements from Morrowind could be used, so I wanted to clarify if my chitin armor would be alright.
Also, would weapons from asian cultures that did not appear in Morrowind(ie, a Naginata or Yari spear) be allowed.
I also wanted to ask what the importance of the environment has on the idea of a costume competition. If its based on the costume, I'm not seeing why the background is a very important element.
Thanks for answering my questions,
Neix
I think that's ok. I'm no judge but I doubt using chitin armor that doesn't look exactly the same as in MW would disqualify you

As for the scene: I'd say it's not the single most important aspect, but a good setting surely helps to convince the judges

An outdoors scene with no signs of civilization is always better than the middle of your living room

Being good means getting better.
