Ok....here we go, I have taken another liberty, and done what some of us may have wanted to do always.
I felt the normal dizzyingly sensation, that came with magical transportation. As I walked the great steps of Ald Rhuun, I noticed how soldiers stalked me, while citizens shied away from me…I drew my hood over my head again, and entered the temple. I found the Mer in charge…Tuls Valen, was only to happy to see me back, and was quite impressed that I had managed to advance so fast and far within House Telvanni…most people would had been killed long before that time.
-“So Telina, you wish to do further assignments for our gracious lord, aye”? -“Well, certainly”, I said, ”I have found a new meaning with life…I wish to use my position, to help people”, I shall admit that at that stage, it was merely flattery, so that I could gain more power, but I did change my view after some time, in the temple.
-“Well, in that case, I wish you to follow the path of lord Vehk”. “Lord Vehk, often shoved compassion for his enemies, so I want you to travel over to the daedric shrine Maelkashishi, and cure the orc, named Bulfim gra-Shugarz from ash cancre”.
-“So I have prepared this potion that will cure her, but it would be preferable if you came back with it, as we need it for others who might have the same sickness”.
I ensured him, that I would return the day after, with the potion. I reckoned that since I actually did not know any spells, that cured diseases, I had to learn some, and I was lucky that I remembered I had set an earlier mark at Arvs-Drelen, so I recalled back there, to have a little chat with Baladas, and possibly get to know a few more spells. Baladas, was quite delighted to see me, and told me of the rough week he had been through. He had run into some troubles with the Redorans, who had gotten so bold, that they had snuck into Arvs-Drelen undercover, and tried to kill him.
It was then I realised that he had gotten himself some new carpets, it actually looked like…no, it could not be. On the floor there was two new carpets, woven into the fine fabrics, there was whole human bodies, drained from all that was inside…only the skin remained, and they even had their clothes on still…sometimes I did not understand Baladas, he was sometimes…off, but still, I forced myself not to think about those cowards, and led the conversation in on my mission instead.
And well, true enough, he could learn me a few spells, but first I had to do a little insignificant chore for him…yea, this was after my guesses something about the dwemer…he was obsessed with them.
-“You see Telina, recently in the Gnisis egg-mine, there was discovered a dwemer door, naturally the imperials have been unable to open the door yet, so I want you to beat them in the race, note your location on a map, and bring the map back tome…together we shall explore the ruin”.
I of course accepted it at once…I had never been inside a dwemer ruin before…this one would not be the last one though.
I walked up to the egg-mine, and found it blocked by a guard, he found it only to good to not open the door for such a nice lady…but only after seeing the hundred septims I held in my hand. This land was pathetic sometimes, all people seemed friendly after the susceptible amount of “extra” cash.
The egg-mine, stank of sweat and…eggs, it would be long before I would eat kwama eggs again. I walked further into the mine, and found a wooden door, somewhat to my right. At this point all the miners I had encountered, had been very friendly, the guard inside was not, however, and he gave me virtually three seconds to get the hell out of there…but what shall I say, I happened to wear the Monarch on me at that time, a quick draw, and a swing that stopped right before his throat, made him find out that he had come to the wrong conclusion…clearly it was a mistake, how could he forget that I was here to have my sleep…he was as pathetic as the other guards that existed in this town.
I walked further into the mine, and found a underground stream, and something else I noticed, was the oil pouring along with the water, so I walked my way to the right, and true enough, I found the dwemer door. The lock was a simple matter, to the might of my new ring that Baladas gave me for this mission, it opened with a large creak, and I walked in. The room was…empty, no living things, but I did see something that looked like a type I animacule.
I did however find some dwemer airship plans, and also a book named “Hanging Gardens”. I was disappointed, most of the ruin was blocked by a rockslide, that would be impossible to remove…unless you had something powerful to remove it with. I notated down my position on the map, made a mark, and, went back to Arvs-Drelen.
Me and Baladas, quickly transported ourselves to my mark, and he looked at the rockslide with first a little disappointed look, then he gave out a wide smirk.
-“Telina, step back to the entrance, while I set this up”, he took out something that laid inside a small Satchel, and then, he threw a little fireball at it, from where I stood. The Explosion, was ear crushing, and I got blasted off my feet. When I managed to raise myself up again, I saw Baladas standing, soot all over his face…he was laughing more than I have ever seen him laugh, he pointed his hand towards the rockslide….
The rocks were gone, and now the entrance down into the rest of the ruin was opned. I followed Baladas, down the ruins, we encountered a few type II animacules, and one type III animalcule, but they were easily put to “sleep”, by Baladas. Finally after what seemed like an eternity, we came to the first room there actually was something in, tonnes upon tonnes of books, on the strange metal that the dwemer used. I looked at Baladas, who looked at me, the glee in our faces must have been titanic…here we stood in a large dwemer library, of course, we got a little disappointed when we realised that the books was written in dwemeric.
Baladas, almost came close to kissing me…which he thankfully didn’t, after half an our. I shouted for him to come, as I had found a book here, that I could read, but it had only a lot of words in it. He read the book, and with a trembling voice he explained tome, that I had found the first, and possibly the only dwemer dictionary, it was translated into ancient dunmeri, but I could still understand it. I was nearly as exited as he was, as I was a fellow linguist myself. We spent quite some time, trying to read the big and heavy book, but we decided that it had to wait.
I told Baladas that I would check the last room, located behind the library. I don’t think he actually noticed that I talked to him, he was to exited to notice, so I opened the last door, and stood there paralyzed, for maybe several minutes, after seeing what I saw. I looked into a large armoury, full of weapons, armour, and other effects. There was also many hundred pounds of this satchels that Baladas had used to clear the opening with. In a corner, there was several chest’s and cog’s, that was filled up to the limit by dwemer coins, and also emerald’s diamond’s and ruby’s. Me and Baladas decided to share everything, he was even kind enough to give me a ring that would transport me to this library.
We spent countless of hours down there, and I was starting to learn the dwemer language, although I could only say a few sentences and words. But we realised that sooner rather than later the imperials would have gotten their exerts shipped over here to break in, and confiscate everything, we could not let that happen, so we blocked the path again, with more rocks, and Baladas was in such a good mood, that he put an enchantment on the entrance door, that when anyone touched it, some twenty Storm Atronachs would be summoned….those imperials were up for a rough time.
We had almost been in there for a day, when we got back to Arvs-Drelen, and I bade Baladas goodnight, before I collapsed on the bed that had used to be mine.
Well, that was it, no more Telina today...but more will come, as you all know.

Ah, I just caught up Tellie and it seems that the character has calmed down a bit and by a short reference you gave it would appear that the temple will have even more of an effect on the character later on. I can't wait to see how things turn out. Update soon.

So, since Telina is starting on a whole new path now...the Tribunal Temple actually, this is the last update, of the second chapter, which is now complete. The first update at chapter three will come soon enough, meanwhile, I hope everyone enjoyed to read this chapter, as much as I enjoyed writing it, and reading your replies.
Thanks to all of you who replied, and all of you who haven't replied, but still read it.
As I walked towards the ruin Maelkashishi, I pondered on what I should do with my life. I had come quite far in house Telvanni, and had now started on the temple, but still, when I had done what I could, what should I do?
I had walked for several hours, before I stood before the mighty ruin. Oh damn, Tulsa had not told me that it was a daedra ruin…I hated those ruins. The tall teeth looking spires, the large domes, all the funny angles and ovals, they just gave me the creeps…always. I spent a liuttle time searching for entrances, I found two of them…great now I even had to choose what scary door I had to go into…great, just my luck.
I went for the door that stood higher over the ground…my bad. I had just entered before I stood face to face with a creature, I had heard about. The winged nightmares was supposed to be some of the most dangerous creatures in the mundus, and here I stood with my nose, merely inches away from it.
-“OH SH”, it attacked me with huge rendering claws, and I felt my left pauldron get clawed of. “IT”; I screamed, and backed away from the creature. I looked behind it…hmm several quite spiky things on the opposite platform, hmm that’s an idea. I jumped to the side, and ran all I could towards the edge of the platform I stood on, and turned around. The daedra came flying towards me with ferocious speed, and the screams was amongst the most vicious I have ever endured. Just before it reached me, I dropped to the floor, and waited for the result. It realised that it came flying towards some VERY large and sharp spikes, a little to late, and I became quite satisfied when I heard the meaty thud, that comes when something sharp penetrates soft flesh.
I stood up again, and looked down, the hall that was below me was quite empty of, at least human life, the only thing that was down there was a bit to many daedra for my taste. I was about to go out and try the other entrance when my curiosity came back, the platform opposite me had some VERY intriguing stairs that led to a chamber higher up. I looked over, it looked as I could make the jump, a little jump potion made sure that I made the jump in safety. I might have mentioned before that I have a very destructive curiosity, well this time I was rewarded actually. In the chamber at the top, I found a daedric longbow, eight daedric arrows, and two dwemer short swords that was enchanted, one it seemed had a paralyzing spell, the other would do poison…ah a perfect fit for me, in other words.
After backtracking my way to the other entrance, I finally found the orc.
-“What are you doing here scum”?, so she was not to happy to see me.
-“I’m here to treat you from your disease”, I chanted the words of the cure blight spell, and I saw the face of the orc lighten up. “This is where I’ll be going I said, as I noticed all the members inside the ruin was now enclosing on me with weapons drawn.
-“Oh no I think not”, she said. “We need human sacrifice to give to our lord Molag Bal”, she smiled with a psycho grin at me, and slowly started to unsheathe her sword.
Of the fight inside that ruin, I’d rather not talk about, since the memories of the mindless slaughter that happened that day, still hunts me. What I can say though is that the Monarch and I managed to persuade the members, only the orc was spared, since I was supposed not to kill her.
I paralyzed her, and marked my location. Then I took on my new ring, and found myself in the dwemer library…I was not surprised to find Baladas there, and he was more that willing, to let me take some of the highly explosive satchels with me. Then I translocated me back to the ruin, since the orc was now standing, I had to paralyze her again. While she was still paralyzed, I tied he up to a pillar on the outside, and walked back in.
After studying the architecture for a while, I started to place the satchels at key pillars and supporting beams, this took me nearly seven hours, and I was happy with the result though, when I stood outside with the orc, and lighted the fuse. I was ready this time, so I closed my ears, but was still blasted off my feet when the explosion came. The whole ruin collapsed, and big parts of the mountain it was standing in with it. Well no more nefarious practises in that ruin at least, I told myself.
I took hold of the orc, and spoke up the Almsivi intervention spell, that I had on a scroll. A quick swoop, and we were standing in the temple in Ald Rhuun. Tuls was impressed after hearing what I had done, and grateful for me “cleansing” the unholy shrine. He gave a quick handmotion, and the orc was taken below, to “repent her sins”, meanwhile me and Tuls, had a splendid dinner, on which I got advanced to Initiate, and given one of the normal brown robes you get in every faction. I bade him farewell, and travelled back to my stronghold, on where I hung up my Telvanni robe in my closet, and took on the Temple one instead.
The day had been long, and I fell asleep while I was reading one of my books…or so I believe..

QUOTE(Taillus @ Mar 27 2006, 05:39 PM) Oh my lord... Taillus will not be happy when he hears about this one. Nice work though and I really like Telina's way of working. She really is a thinker for sure. I can't wait to begin reading chapter three! Keep up the good work Telle and for ending the chapter in the great fashion that you did. I award you the Tai award of chapter's closing. PS - It is not from Taillus himself so no worries about it being a Dai-cursed cake. Awww...thanks tai.....*hug*...glad you liked the chap....I'm still trying to catch up with yours ...but I'm not far away now...so thats good at least.
