You should be able to play on the highest fine: My system: Athlon XP 2800 + 1 gig ram 256 g-force 6600 GT Plays it perfectly on the highest settings, my only annoyance is that you cant use Anti-antilising at the same time as HDR lighting

Yeah it runs perfectly, everything on the highest settings, although I turned 'Self shadows' Off because it looks like theyve all got beards Although when I first start it up it goes slow for like 15 secs, then becomes smooth.

QUOTE(ThePerson98 @ Mar 30 2006, 03:06 AM) Medium settings looks great. You wont be disappointed. And anyway, oblivion isnt made to have everyone running it max graphics. There are tweaks you can run to make it so much better. Tweak 1: Defragmenting. It does make noticable differences in speed. Go to Start\Programs\Acessories\System Tools\Disk Defragmenter Defragment all drives, it takes awhile and the performance boost depends on how fragmented the drive was. Tweak 2: Preloading tweak. Go to... (Users name) Documents\My games\Oblivion\Oblivion.ini Change these lines to this [OPENMP] iThreads=20 iOpenMPLevel=20 Also change this line to what I listed iPreloadSizeLimit=1000000000 Go on official forums and you can find even more tweaks. This makes the game load everything instead of threadloading, and it makes a huge impact on performance. PS These tweaks are completely harmless, defragmenting should be done on every computer. And threadloading shouldnt be anything tough on your system. Dont worry. Thanks for the tips, maybe I can run all in max now. I got: amd athlon 64 3500+ 1 gig ram and Dual 128 GeForce 6600 GT This should be nearly good enough Edit: maybe it's that it's 128 GeForce 6600 GT that slows it down alittle, but since I have two of em it should do it This post has been edited by Ola Martin: Mar 30 2006, 11:51 AM

QUOTE(xycolian @ Mar 30 2006, 01:17 PM) HA! I just noticed that comps. are way better than the 360 at max settings because everything looks all smooth when it's far away on my screen but on yours it looks detailed even from a distance Of corse PC rules every console

Here's some screenies Sitting on horseMany people in imperial city todayMartial Arts KahjitMy first charracterI run the game on max graffics w/o AA and selfshadows(selfshadows look really ugly, sort of like everybody having a beard) and I have not edited Oblivion.ini in theese picks. If you run the game on all the max graffics, you should try to edit the Oblivion.ini in: my documents/my games/oblivion/ Here you can set all the setings even higher, I specially recomend to find: bUseWaterReflectionsMisc=0 bUseWaterReflectionsStatics=0 bUseWaterReflectionsTrees=0 bUseWaterReflectionsActors=0 And turn them into: bUseWaterReflectionsMisc=1 bUseWaterReflectionsStatics=1 bUseWaterReflectionsTrees=1 bUseWaterReflectionsActors=1 now the game reflects trees people, stones, items and plants in the water. This you can not add in the game properties. WARNING: take backup of Oblivion.ini before editing. This post has been edited by Ola Martin: Mar 30 2006, 10:49 PM

Now it makes a lot more sense
