Greetings. Anyone done this quest?

*SPOILERS BELOW*

It's the quest you get in the Three Brothers Trade Goods in the Imperial City, where you are to follow Thoronir around and see what he does after he closes his shop.

I followed him to that small park after he had his supper at the traders HQ, and waited all night while he was standing around with that contact. I also sneaked for several hours just behind the wall where they were standing, but no dialogue was heard from them. I also talked to his contact until he answered all the questions and told me to leave him alone.

Any tips on what to do?

Thanks.

Follow him further. It will take some time. DON'T USE THE WAIT BUTTON!!!!
He will lead you to his contact in Elven Garden's District in s small alley.

You figure out the rest smile.gif

Thanks for the quick reply.

I did use the wait feature while in the park. I'll try again then.

So the mission will actually take several days then?

Anyway I'll find out myself. Off to play again. Cheers!

Also, you will seem them meeting in this little garden in Market Area of imperial city (kind of behind Thoronir's shop).

I also thought I should be sneaky and not be seen, but after 15 minutes of watching them stand there, I thought F THIS!! So I did a quicksave (incase things didnt turn out well) and started walking right up to them...

The game froze me and started a "cutscene" style dialogue, similar to when the Emporer comes into your cell. I couldnt move, and I watched them chat... then the quest continues...

Let us know if you need more help... I really liked that quest, rewards were AWESOME!!! but I wont spoil that for ya....

Thanks, I've completed the quest now.

*SPOILERS BELOW*

Regarding the reward, it wasn't that much - 100 ... uhm... credits? But the sword I found along the way was interesting. Value of over 1000 credits. Haven't used it yet though. Recently started playing (yesterday). Still at level 1, and still only have closed 1 Oblivion gate (Kwack) and doing my initial main quest missions.

Any tips if I've missed anything on the rewards for this quest?

Cheers.

Nope.
That sword is really good for begining. However,i recommend that you don't use it all the time.Since it's an enchanted sword, you won't be able to repair it until your Armorer skill is Journeyman.Instead use a non-enchanted sword for regular battles and use this one for harder battles wink.gif

Thanks, I noticed it was quite powerful, and have taken your advice of using a normal sword for 'normal' fighting.

Didn't know you had to be Journeyman to repair. Will I be able to recharge it with enchantments? I see it's not gradually recharged like in Morrowind.

Seems there are quite a few differences compared to Morrowind, but I really love this game!

PS: Sorry for spelling Kvatch like Kwack in the above post... tongue.gif

Thanks again for the help guys.

I've realized that it's quite cheap to get the sword repaired by 'professionals', but to re-enchant it - THAT is expensive. Going got focus on the Mages guild quests now so that I can do my own enchantments.

Cheers!

That won't help you i'm afraid.It doesn't metter are you a Warrior,Mage,or a Stealth.Each can recharge their weapons equaly.
To recharge an enchanted item, you will need a soul gem. Then you will need mysticism at least 25 to cast Soul Trap spell.Trap some creature's soul in a gem and use the gem to recharge the weapon.Lowest spell has 20sec duration, and trust me that's fairly enough.

You might want to visit Azura's Shrine. There is a very useful prize there wink.gif

Thanks,

I'm a mage, both in class and in starsign, so I already have a mysticism skill of 54 after 2 days of playing (about 20 game hours. Hey, it's Easter holiday!). Using 'sense life' spell a lot by the way.

I have the soul trap spell, but I've completely forgotten to use it so far. I also have a small collection of soul gems, although I suspect them to be different from Morrowind, as they say 'soul level lesser/none' etc. and have different values (gold) even when they're the same. Perhaps this means they already have souls in them?

SPOILER:

So Azura's Star is in this game as well? Nice! Quite handy that one. Well don't tell me where to find it. Only recently started going 'manual' from place to place actually. Quite rewarding to find different caves and creatures etc. when traveling.

One of the things that made my eyebrows go down when reading about Oblivion was the 'instant travel'-feature, but I must admit I've been using it almost on every inter-city travel so far. Oh well, I guess it's no bigger 'cheat' than silt striders etc. in Morrowind.

Anyway I'm getting more and more into this game. Incredible! The graphics are fantastic, and I'm starting to feel like I'm really there in real life when I'm playing. No game has ever done that to me since 'Frontier' (Elite 2). All the spoken dialogue really enhance the atmosphere.

Azuras Star really sucks in Oblivion since you can't capture human souls in it (Stupid mistake by Bethesda IMO).

I allways wondered what people have against Fast Travel.I maen:If you consider it a cheat DON'T USE IT.It's easy as that.I prefer to run myself (stealth char developing athletics) but sometimes i'm so lazy, that i fast travel betwen Imperial City districts. Please don't laugh.

I see you are enjoying the game!!!Unfortinatly i don't know how graphics is really good.I'm forced to play oblivion in 800x600 ,low details,no AA,no bloom.Basicly the game looks like improved Morrowind kvright.gif

About the dialog,i think that it really creates a great athmosphere. But i think that dialog could be done better.I find the Emperor's speach a little bit...well......not enough emotion in it.I was also shocked whan i talked to an Orc woman. She sounds like a Nord woman!!!The devs spent most of their budget on star voice casting (Patrick Stewart,Sean Bean). That's why some races have the same voice-actor.However,who ever voice-overed Mankar Camoran did i really good job goodjob.gif

Enjoy the game!!! wink.gif

Yeah, the graphics are amazing. I'm spending most of my time in the CS now tohugh, rather than the game. Done everything with much of a plot to it now.
