It warms Rainer to see that he is not alone.

It seems we have a small trombone club here at chorrol. It has been a few years since I have played my trombone, but it still holds a special place in my heart. I have also spent many years playing the piano, although I'm a bit rusty on that as well. Now, mostly, I sing, but nothing so professional as some of the other people here. Really, I just sing in the church choir, with a few solos here and there to mix things up. It's really great to see the number of musical people here; perhaps someone with composing skills should write a theme-song for chorrol.com? (Okay, maybe that's a really bad idea, but I just had to throw it out there).

This is an awesome idea, I think, maybe one rite the lyrics and another the music....or the same guy do both.....ohoho...I wish I could com pose anything but crappy stories!

A little off subject but your not bad at writing stories Minque... read a bit of your fan fiction and it's better than I could do

Just came home from a gig. A guitarist friend of mine asked me if I would like to sing at a pub located a few miles outside my town, and I reluctantly agreed. I haven't performed for almost a year (have a 'normal' job now), and he warned me that this pub was full of locals who never listened to the bands and if they did, harassed them and asked them to play songs they knew they would never be able to play, or doing their best to ruin the gig in other ways, like unplugging cables etc...

Besides, I haven't been singing with him for many years, and when we last played together it was with a full band. We had no time to rehearse, and I have only bad experiences playing with a single guitar only.

Well it was a success! Everybody liked it, and we got a new booking immediately at the pub as well as an offer to play at a big birthday party a few weeks from now.

And in addition to the payment (which was quite good) we got free beers (although I only had time to drink three).
