I love dwarven crossbows ... they were my favorite weapon in Morrowind. I never noticed that they were slow to load because I always speeded up their timing and extended their reach in TESCS. Also, I made special "knockback bolts" that were so powerful it shoot people backwards out of sight sometimes (Orchish bolts made really fast and heavy ... great for disintigrating cliffracers.) So I appreciated there being special bolts for the crossbows.

Yeh, I guess that modders can make crossbows.

I don't plan to pay for many mods, and given that I'm an xbox guy, won't play free/public mods either. I will likely get a true expansion.
One thing I don't particularly like about these little mods from Beth is how they aren't woven well into the framework of the game... I mean, how realistic is it that you will get a free horse? Or for that matter, a free tower? They should at least make you do a quest to get them, like for the Orrery.

Quick question: Those wall hangings/tapestries of the Mage starsign in the tower, do they show the Mage for everyone, or do they show the starsign of your character?

I'm a Mage starsign, so I was just wondering. I guess everyone has them since it's an old mage tower, but...

(Btw George, the tower is an inheritance from a dead relative... tongue.gif)

Oh, dont be silly. There is no such thing as relatives. Everyone knows all life in Tamriel starts in prison! laugh.gif

That was an awkward thing for me though. Especially when you get out of the imperial prison after making a new character. A note appears in your pocket, I mean seriously, not even a "you got mail" chime? mellow.gif

Still the tower itself has uses, and when Alexander mentioned the 25+ copies of fundaments of alchemy, at least there is plenty to keep the fire going.

laugh.gif Yeah I've tried putting other more interesting books in the shelves, but I gave it up after spending almost an hour with one single book... wacko.gif

Speaking of fire, it's actually quite dark in that tower. A few more torches on the walls would be good.
