The actual translations is:

Translation key-
1337 = Elite
t@t = that
pwn/pwnz3rz = own/owns

Where did you learn this foreign language? From personal experience? Or is there some l33t dictionary I am unaware about? tongue.gif Seriously, I don't understand that language at all. These l33t/netspeak languages should be a foreign language course or something.

1337 is leet, or elite, developed by toal computer geeks so they could talk in numbers and symbols and feel superior to people who used english.

Actually it was originally used to discuss forbidden topics on forums and such in order to get around filters. Then it just kinda grew from there

I like Rainer's Siggy ... it's very cute.

Fuzzy Knight, your plushey D & D cartoons are awesome. I feel for the little level one thief doggy because that kinda is me. Not that I have his weighty concerns on my mind, but my computer still bogs down so slow with Oblivion running that I am not making much progress beyond Anvil yet.
And please go back up to my last post and clik on the Bribes ... there are special gifties there for you.

As I read that L337 talk ... it says somebody owns someone else's boxers ... eek, who would want to do that? Hope they don't wear them used. TEE HEE

Added translations.
If you're intrested in that ''weird language'' (it's more of a slang really),you can read more about it here smile.gif

I checked out that wiki page on L337speak ... interesting that the term Leet came from the concept "Elite" and that it came from a game where machines ruled and I guess this is the way that they talked.

Explains a bit of this idiotic nonsence.... blink.gif

Yeah, the first time Rainr heard of leet he was completely baffled as to what is was.

then (as is mostly the case with Rainer) he found out and wasn't really sure what made it so great.

There is an "a" key for a reason...

Well not quite. I must admit I didn't play the original Elite, but I played the two sequels (Elite: Frontier and Elite: First Encounter). There were no talking machines, but the games were incredibly good. The only game that has superceded Frontier in regards to atmosphere is Morrowind, imho. But even that first sequel was so much better than any other games available at the time that I can understand that the phrase '1337' evolved from that first game way back then...

And that Wiki page was indeed interesting and well written. I bet many 14-year olds are disappointed when they realise that the 1337 language was invented long before they were born... tongue.gif
