I'm curious, is anyone going to make a mod that includes asian weopens armour. Like samurai stuff, clothes, houses, furniture would also be cool! Any body like the idea

i love that idea! i'd especially like to see a version of the Japanese House mod for Oblivion.

even better would be if someone made a semi-replica of the bathhouse from Spirited Away..with all the big bridges, gardens, and steam pools.

imagine living in Oblivion and owning a huge spa...

I was wondering if anyone could create a mod involving a japenese castle. i would love for my charcacter to have his on japenese castle. Ummmm.. japenese castle

well I am not sure about how much yet, but that is the theme of my mod, 'a whole new world' , or at least that is part of it, I am unsure when i can start though, at this rate it looks like it'll be at least a month before I can get a computer that can run this stuff.

Asian meist?

Sure, that would be cool.

A dojo here and there would be pretty nice, Japanese Castles....where best implied, used in spades, would be a kewl idea, Armor and weapons......meh, i could do without.

But in my own opinion, i think Akaviri based meist would be much cooler for a place like Cyrodil.
Cities built with architechture like that of Cloud Ruler temple, guards armed with armor and weapons like that of the Blades. That would be a pretty badass looking place come to think of it.

Im for 2/3's of it.

so far it looks like the cloud ruler temple would be an excellant base for an asian mod (at least the exterior!)

i'd imagine with some retexturing and such it'd look pretty believable

i'm also looking foreward to some pet mods... lucky dog people in chorrol get pets >.<

an asian dragon pet(flight capable..rideable maybe?) would be awesome too..

it'd take forever to mod but it'd be so worth it...i'd tell it to eat that rat lady in anvil..who's got the best pet now eh? lol

grrr.. if i had photoshop and a tablet i'd already be retexturing the cloud ruler temple by now...and modeling a dragon..using the model for martin's dragon form would be awesome..especially if i made it a little bigger than horse-sized and mountable..

Severian's Katanas

He and another good moder Cryo_ are working on Wakizashi,Ninja-To,Tanto and some other sword i can't remember it's name.They all come in standard matrials:

Iron
Steel
Silver
Dwarwen
Elven
Glass
Daedric

Wakizashi, and Tanto are already in the game (or at least they were for Morrowind... I haven't played oblivion yet...) and for the castles use better than the japanese (chinese w/e) they make thiers out of mainly wood... Try Irish Castles thier entirely (nearly) made of stone.

Katanas,Wakizashi,Tantos and Ninja-To were in Morrowind but they were removed from Oblivion.

Why? That's beyond me

i havnt yet discovered orkish armout in oblivion but last i cheaked it looked pretty samuri like...and the katana is alredy present...so it would just be the houses.. throwing stars shoud be included!

Nope.It looks completly diffrent now.

Only Akaviri katana is present.
There are no material based katanas like steel or glass katana.
Severian's Mod brings that in the game,and well balanced if I may say

ZEN!! Yen is the Japanese currancy. And yes it would be cool to see a zen garden, though it would be differcult made up of all those little rocks, making a straight textured surface wouldn't look right. And if you had havoc enabled in it then it would act all strange and if you didn't then you'd miss out on the fun of shooting a fireball at it and watching the stones fly everywhere



I think he's refering to the later Shiro and they are supprisingly effective. Not to mention they look awesome.

I suppose... I still like the HUGE looming figure of a stone castle with walls about 100 feet high, and those ramparts... *drool*

Wait, wouldn't it be fun to be able to BUY one of the castles instead of those cloth-wood houses?

i hate to drive posts off topics but i'm gunna take DarkHuner's idea and play with it for a second here if you don't mind.

what if you could start a new city?

after you beat the main quest the coucil of elders is so pleased with your work that they have a new city built for you, with you as the count. maybe somewhere in the nibanay, near the bend of the corbolo river? or the "imperial reserve"? much like the strongholds we got in morrowind, only you actually got to lay this one out?

or what if the legion wanted to re-open the legion forts in the wilderness in light of all the civil unrest due to the oblivion invasion? you could go around the old forts and clear them of all the skeletons and ghosts, and of the bandits that are an obvios threat to law and order? when you clear one a team could then start re builing the fort, and there would be a new fort there in a couple months. they wouldn't be anything all that spectacular, but you'd be payed well and you'd have more places to stock up on suplies out in the wild.
