QUOTE(Konradude @ May 7 2006, 09:29 PM) Yes, it is the best RPG/game ever. I suggest FFVIII, FFX or FFVII for starters. I'd say start with FFX and work backwards. Miss out FFIX Why,what's wrong with FFIX? Isn't ''moving backwards'' gonna affect the story? I mean are the storyes conected?

i always liked the old skool FF's like 1-7. they were really quite fun. although i haven't played the new one recently, i think you should buy it. the only thing i hate about FF is the long a$$ storylines. if you've played FF before you know what i meen. when you start a new game you will encounter a 20 min storyline that you can't quit.

QUOTE(HyPN0 @ May 7 2006, 03:27 PM) I was just wondering: What is Final Fantasy game like? I heard that it's one of the best RPGs ever.I never played a Janapese RPGs before, are they any good? definitely start with X, then i'd recommend VII. myself i love FF games. lets see, i've played I, II, VII, VIII, IX, X, and X-2 (not to be mistaken for XII) only beaten X though. i love roman numerals also.

Booyeah, final fantasy, one of my all-time favorite RPG Series. A must have for any RPG player. Now, my favorite fantasy? Must be, the one that started it all, Final Fantasy for the NES and Famicom, I dunno why, but, I just love the intro, it's so simple yet captivating, along with the music. But FF VII comes in a extremly close second place. Why? Two words; Big Swords.......I love teh BIG SWORDS!!! ...........|--------------------------------------\ ox:x:x:|===================== | ...........|--------------------------------------/ QUOTE(Ibis @ May 7 2006, 11:05 PM) The only anime type games I've played are Lineage (which I really like - most girls do because of the beautiful clothing and armor) Hey, that's what hooked me in oblivion, just the fact that I could see a shrine or something a ways off, and take thirty minutes to get to it; I love the detail they put into the designs of the buildings and weapons (wish they had more but, meh I won't hold my breath) This post has been edited by MasterSaji: May 8 2006, 08:34 PM

QUOTE(stargelman @ May 9 2006, 04:20 AM) 13? Don't you mean 12? Edit: Read the link, and Rainer is confused. Didn't they say they would stop at twelve? QUOTE(Konradude @ May 8 2006, 12:58 PM) It had the same gameplay as every other FF game - just with the most tedious, repetitive and idiotic story anyone could have ever imagined. But...Rainer thought the story was good Maybe Rainer is just odd. OOPS...Double post... This post has been edited by Khajiit Overlord Rainer: May 9 2006, 04:31 PM

I've only played VII, VIII, X and X-2 VII was absolutely fantastic, loved the storyline. VIII i don't really like, mostly because that stupid junction system pretty much acts to stop you using magic, and the fact you can only have 4 commands in the battle menu thing at any time X was pretty fun, liked the cutomisation thing, although i disliked how hard it was to get the best weapons (stupidly hard, hard is good but it was over the top here, IMO) X-2.............fun game, but the storyline was just annoying, and only having 3 characters sucked too

QUOTE(Khajiit Overlord Rainer @ May 9 2006, 12:07 PM) Rainer almost destroyed his controller before he bought a Gameshark for that very purpose... Someone has learned how to have plenty of "fun" in final fantasy games. I personally loved 9, and 6. 6 is SNES. And there is a PS1 version thats rare to find now. Its called Final Fantasy Anthology, also has 5 in it, which is alright. Just ebay it, there were plenty on there. 7 is alright, I havent finished it. It would be much nicer in better graphics. And a bit less battles. 10 isnt the best, but it will drag you into the story quick. Also has very nice graphics and voice acting. 9 is a bit kiddy in its own way, but isnt too bad. Its too quick though, you can beat the game in 12 hours (Yes its how you get the ultimate weapon) 8 was boring...I barely even played it I got bored so fast. 5 was kiddy, if you thought 9 was kiddy 5 is worse that way. 4 was actually very good, get it in Final Fantasy Chronicles. (Not Crystal Chronicles)
