Ah, good old X-com. I love that game. I still have it on my harddrive somewhere. I love it so much I even wrote two short fan fics of it starring Sergeant Ironhead.
I've got so much good memories there.
First encounters with a Chryssalid. I was still using bullets. My whole squad got zombified by one alien.

Or my first test run with a new weapon the light bulbs called a Blaster Bomb launcher.
,,Hmm, I heard that this thing can even punch through the outside wall of an ufo. Time to try it out on that battleship, those alien scumbags will be surprised when I drop through the roof right into their bridge instead of taking the door. I'll put my troops on the roof, but far enough away to be safe from the blast."
*Bomb comes flying from the other side of the battlescape, makes a few circles and dives into the ufo's roof. My whole squad dies exept for the guy who was sitting on top of the transport on the other side of the area with the launcher in his hands.
,,Oops, the blast radius was a bit bigger than expected."

Really, if you find it in a garbage bin, buy it! X-com is the god of tactical squad-based warfare!

UFO: Enemy Unknown or X-Com: Terror from the Deep. They're the same game really (different graphics, enemies and techs, but EXACTLY the same tech tree and enemies when you look beyond name and appearance), but ooooh so good.

Avoid the other ones though.

i rented MLB 2k6 and it is really fun. The GM career mode is way better and they gameplay is superb two thumbs up

I haven't been playing many games this week but next week I'm finally getting Joint Operations so I'll be multiplayering it up.

Nothing.
Not even Morrowind.

I have no choice now but to play Dungeons & Dragons on call. I only have the 7 day trial still, but Cain bought the game and so he is asking me to come into the game occassionally so he can trade items between his different characters.

If anyone else is playing the 7 day trial ... if you want to continue full time with your characters you've created, buy the box. If you download D&D online, it doesn't give you the key to carry over your same characters.

hey hey, there's another reason to buy yours in a box..... ehhhhh ibis. (who was right, who was right, who was right, King was right). Sorry got a little carried away i am rarely ever right so i have to enjoy this.

Now that my computer's all upgraded for OB, I decided to start playing a game that previously didn't work (Damn graphics card and shamefully low RAM!) - Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines (I hate the title - titles need to flow. Cut one of the damn titles or something!)

Its' a fun game, from what I've experienced thus far (a few hours of game time, hehe)

The combat is particularly fun because of the way blood splatters - I was convinced this was awesome when I whacked a guy and his blood splattered on a window horror-movie style. And I got to be inside a haunted manor - which was F'in scary. The person who sent me there will get a earful. Ghosts are not "harmless".

I choose to play a "Gangrel", which means I get to do cool things like call up ghostly animals, get red eyes and claws (helpful in darkness and useful in a fight), and 'fortitude', which makes me harder to kill. It also means I look like some kinda of rastafarian vampire. I got dreds and stuff!

Sounds like a fun game Aki ... it's nice to get your computer up to snuff and play all the latest or highest tech games.

Well, I really needed an Oblivion break (having mor or less sown up stuff for my second character, it was getting to the "oh no, not ANOTHER dungeon" stage), so I considered a variety of distractions. Pro Evolution Soccer was an option, as was Need for Speed: Most Wanted (both good adrenaline rush games). I also nearly bought Ghost Recon:Advanced War Fighter, until I realised that the 'advanced' part means your computer needs to be a deus machina powered by a nuclear fission plant and cooled by a natural waterfall from a Swiss glacier.

Instead I loaded up a really, really poor game called Shattered Union. The gameplay is easy (really easy), the units are the same (think on a Shogun:Total War) level, and the attack/defend is crap - you can only attack one province a go, and your units all come from one pool, meaning you can't strategically place armies. Still, it's the only game I know where I can bomb the crap out of Orlando and its many theme parks.

Currently I'm now wavering, hoping to get back a copy of Fallout:Tactics as someone has tactically...taken it.

You will get totaly adicted soon if you're anything like me.
Damn I finished the game with all 7 clans,with every posible quest done in diffrent way each time,and i belive i heard all of the dialog sentences in the game.And i tryed both male and female genders.
How's that for dedication?

Gangrels,the most animalistic vamps in the game.I role-played a female Gangrel that had no Humanity,had a high Intimidate skill,was good with firearms and she was a real b*tch.She was always swearing,and I tryed to be especialy rude with the prince!

The plot in the game is exelent,and i promise you will be quite suprise at the end of the game.There are several ways to end the game based on your actions,and i recommend trying every one of them.


Masquarade isn't a new game really.I think there is a year since it was published

A friend of mine wants me to join his Quake3 clan I've never even played the game, but my brother has it so I might as well install it and see what happens.
Could be a nice break from Oblivion (sorry citizens of Cyrodiil, but this hero has other plans...)

I know it isn't new, but its only recently I've gotten it to work.

Yeah, that hotel. Stupid ghosts and their pricky-ness, tossing vases at me and stuff.

My Gangrel is actually a pretty nice guy, has his humanity almost maxed (I lost a point in one mission. The one with "patty".) He switches between medium and close range when it suits him, as I find blowing the crap out of things useful at times where being able to close it and rip things apart is useful at other times. And well, its a waste of Protean if you don't use close range at all.

I love how my Gangrel looks like this crazy Rasta-guy



But yeah, I intend on going back and doing things differently with other characters later.

And those hallucinations are really scary too! Ahhhhh!

Yeah, I had nice characters too. But even if you're rude and intimidating people can have it's benefits. Like when you start the game, you can rob that lawyer and get some money, a fancy watch, and some other goodyes.

If you don't want to lose your humanity in the ''patty'' quest, you will just need a higher persuade skill. You will get an option to tell her that Alan is outside town, and you'll get rid of her with actualy gaining humanity

As goes for looks, I definatly recommend Malkavians, especialy female.
Malks have some wicked clothing later on in the game

Again, try Malkavians. Whoever wrote the sentences for Malks is a real genius!
It will require some wits on your part to understand your dialog options though!

I am addicted to Counterstrike (still prefer the 1.6 version).
I liked gohic 2 and i can't wait to get my hands on gothic 3, i am sure it will be worth waiting for. For the rest big fun of GTA, latest production San Andreas.
I waste some of my time on football manager games as well... none really good enough to mention...
Also tried Black and White 2 out but i wasn't really impressed.

Meh, I prefer being nice. I'll make a prick Venture later on. Or a beastly Brujah. My Gangrel already lost a humanity point in that quest, but he has alot of spare, so its' no big deal. Besides, Patty is a junkie and downright annoying and endangering the masquerade. Safer to take her out than hope a Werewolf eats her while she's out of town or something.

Yeah, I looked through all the characters when creating mine, Malks do have cool looks, and I noticed certain...features...were physiced...esspecially on the females...

I fully intend to play through with a Malk later. Crazy folk are fun.
