Whilst I swore never to be pretentious, and that is REALLY the most insulting thing someone can call me (personally, it's right up there with stupid), maybe I was being so. I'll hate myself for days for it. I don't like being insulted by someone who I've no idea who they are.

Of course, I didn't abuse my authority and bypass the autocensor to insult someone, though... ho de hum.

In other news...Hypno, how come you've changed your icon?

Ibis pours a nice cup of coffee with lots of milk and sweetner (no sugar - dieting.)

I hope I'm not too late to say goodbye to Minque. It sounds like alot of fun going to Sweden. Sometimes I wish I lived in Europe so as to be close enough to other countries to visit them easily. But then I think how I never leave Florida and really have no idea what Georgia or Alabama look like. So I'd probably such a non-traveler in Europe too I suppose.

Anyway Minque - have a good time and don't do anything we wouldn't do. Lots of leeway there, knowing this Chorrol crowd ... lolol. biggrin.gif

PS- Isn't HyPNO's new Avvy great? I just love it - so jaunty!

Hmmm- no fresh-baked bread available, somehow haven't been in the proper frame of mind. Perhaps I have been diverting my creative energies into writing... There are some cookies available though....

Have been working with the adult education folks at the college during the break. Amazing diversity of abilities- have one fellow who wants to learn to read. It can be wearing at times, but they show up every day and put in 2 or 3 hours- because each of them has a goal. It makes me profoundly grateful that I was privileged to receive an education.... And their determination makes me humble.

Just random midnight musings because I don't feel like going to bed yet...

Rest well everyone and safe journey- wherever you may be going.

I kinda wanted to change a little bit. I just grew a bit tired of the old one, and replaced it with a new one. Still that doens't mean I won't get my old Avatar back, but I have to grow tired of this one until then tongue.gif

Well, yes, probably. Both posters were intentionally putting down the other persons country and history, whilst talking about how smart they were. Which I don't like. However you're correct, my post makes me an irritated british boat. Guess I ain't perfect. kvright.gif

If I'm not mistaken the USA HAS been around longer then the UK.

The United States was established in July 4, 1776, the United Kingdom in January 1, 1801.

Now America and England, or any other combinations are slightly more of what you are trying to compare. However, I will admit that I was a quite an boat in my post, and I'm sorry.

Its like looking at a tree.. I tree seems rather uncomplex and the same. But when you delve into the tree you see an entire history of the ecosystem that existed around it!

You might of had your War of the Roses, but we had Custer's Last Stand.

Ok, enough with the politics everyone. This isn't the place for it. nono.gif

So, anyway. I just delivered my niece to the kindergarden and then went shopping for food. I can tell you, spending time with kids is the best workout you can get. They want to be carried around, you have to chase them all the time, it's really exhausting! laugh.gif

Of course, it's also fun. My niece is the best! Well. Most of the times anyway.

8 hours until I get out of this place. 8 bloody long hours.

(This random post and utter waste of space was brought to you by the Finnish army)

Soon, I'll jump into my car, drive home and when I get home I'll sit down and (most likely) laugh as I finally watch the Eurovision finals. I'd rather spend the rest of my Wednesday doing something more creative but odds are that I'll be too tired to actually form any kind of rational thoughts when I finally get home.

Ibis, I haven't told you how the BBQ went!! ohmy.gif I'll do it later in PM, didn't hook up with that girl because she wasn't there long (lecture) but it still went well.

Right now I am tired, I came home from a 3 hour biology lab (which lasted 2 1/5) and the last half hour of intermediate Dutch (went STRAIGHT over my head) an hour ago at 9PM and sat down to a nice hot chocolate and should probably go to bed soon because I have to be at uni 10am tomorrow. In intermediate Dutch I borrowed someone's Dutch-English dictionary but it didn't have the easy words sad.gif

Well, I've been gone for weeks and now I'm back with my status. My left hand was sprained quite badly when I tripped trying to avoid knocking over my guitar. I fell into my computer desk and my internet chord was ripped, my connecter crushed and my very internet life put into the hands of my shoddy, one armed electro-engineering skills. My hand is set and isn't so swollen or encased in a cast anymore, and my expert (novice-ish to tell the truth) ability to move wires around in a tube and my ability to buy a connetor has gotten my computer working again. I have to be very carful around it and I'm still only using my right hand to type, but its a start. tongue.gif

So, how is everyone?

LOL Red, nice job..! laugh.gif Good that you didn't knock over that guitar.. wink.gif

Here it's pretty chill now, the bloody exams are over - duh, still got one left but that's speech and that's no big problem... I think my story I wrote today got pretty, weird thought.

I chose to write a tale (adventure) kinda thing about things in our society and all that. So I ended up writing a tale about three heroes, well they were idiots had to kill the leader of "Gilde" which is a meat/food company here in Norway which had a product which caused food poisoing and many young childs were killed, don't remember how many it was - Think it was nearly 13 or something (correct me if I'm wrong) until the found the source.

It was a very laughable story and even tho the heroes got pwned by a guy swining around a sausage they ended up winning and everyone lived happily ever since... laugh.gif

Hehe, thank goodness my hand is making a complete recovery or that guitar would be useless. tongue.gif

I like the stories that come out of people in speech, especially when they include pwnge by meat. Anything interesting happen around here lately? Overthrowing of power? Apocolyptic event that put users and admins on an even playing field? Gang war?

Hello again everyone :] Nice to be able to post again.

Lately I've renewed my obsession with Spore (what with the new videos out). If you don't know what Spore is yet you owe it to yourself to find out. Seriously.

Other than that I've been bouncing about from home to home and such. I'm existing quite nicely and everything is fine. The apartment is taking much longer than expected, but it should happen sometime in the summer.

I figured it wouldn't be long before Spore started popping up here.

Thanks for the link biggrin.gif

Oh my goodness Red ... don't ask these people about warring and gang warfare or we'll be off again into politics! ahahaha

So glad you saved that guitar. My hubby has a bass guitar - black fretless Dean Edge - and I know it's the first thing he'd grab if the house was burning. Glad also that you managed to get your computer running again. Doesn't sound like it was easy with just one hand.

Now how about a nice pic of yourself over in the Real Pictures thread. Or is your Avvy really you? I thought I read somewhere that it is a comedian or someone on tv ... but I'm not that informed about things really.

=============

Oh Stomach Ache! So nice to see you!! I'm sorry to hear that the apartment is taking so long. I was hoping that you were already moved in; good to hear though that your moving around and getting places to stay.

Now did you change the name of your MySpace to Spore? I clicked on your link in that thread and that's what it said. I thought it was an odd name to go by but then again so is Intestinal Chaos and I guess one could explain the other. lol
I also thought that maybe Spore was a rock group. I am so uninformed...now I remember seeing that game in a link.
I made a MySpace and you'll never guess what?!?! The actor John Corbett who is also a musician had a MySpace so I asked to be added to his MySpace. Is that really gonna happen? I got 3 messages from other ppl so far. This is the guy who plays Aidan Shaw on Sex & the City. So anyways, who I really was trying to find was you ... but I don't know how.

I made a hyves today. It's kinda like the same thing as myspace, only it's dutch. clicky. But I don't know what I'm doing there kvright.gif

First thing he'd grab? Is that counting you:P? I'm thinking about buying a bass soon but I'm only buying one I can find cheap and used. I'd rather give an old bass a new home than spend my money on a two thousand doller bass with no history tongue.gif.
