You can download them on Xbox live for a certain amount of gamer points I believe.

QUOTE(Ibis @ Jun 2 2006, 09:35 AM) Thoughts = Now they've added another 99 cents to the insulting $2.00 ... a trend to watch. BEWARE! Gone are the days of Morrowind. Jikes! They raised the price from 1.89 to 2.99! Thats a raise by 1.10$, what are they thinking? Maybe they think people will believe this is a much greater mod than the rest and buy it like crazy.. Well I won't. For me it looks just like an oversized dungeon.. Nothing more nothing less.. The "cool" name of the quest is only a desception I believe, and mark my words, you'll see when you've actually tried it.

Have you guys seen this project? http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=458175Seems amazing! Mods like these I'd be more than happy to pay $3 for. If Bethesda had released something of this scale they would have charged $50, and this is free.

Aye, just what I was telling from the begining. Fan made mods own Bethesda junk. You made a really good example here Olav. Marxx is really working hard on the Ocean mod + she also works hard on ''The Dark Brotherhood Chronicles''. If a high-school girl uterly beats professional game developers, guess who's the dumbass here Seriusly, why do they embarrass themselves? They know what people think of their mods, so why don't they start working on the expansion set, and get the community respect back? Clowns.... I forgot to comment the mod. I think it's definatly NOT gonna be awesome. Don't get your hopes high ladies and gentlemen. Again, I think this is just good advertising for a low class content. Just take a look at the CS: LINK It's already in the game

I think alot of the offical mods thus far are aimed at X-box users. They don't get free compassion like PC users do. They need stuff like this. QUOTE I forgot to comment the mod. LINK wink.gif It's already in the game mad.gif The dungeon however, isn't. I find dungeons far more satistfying/worthy of money than pretty models and textures and house-mods. Edit: Granted, I would LOVE to see Beth use their programmer-ness to introduce unique stuff. Things Modders can't do. It'd be smart. Up sales. Like...a mounted combat mod or something. A nice casttle mod would have been great, for example, we found a town burnt to the ground overrun by ogres, some villagers dead or imprisoned. So, we free this town and make it our own, with EVERYTHING that implies, from re-building houses, farms, stables, tavern, inn, church, and finally our own casttle. appart from that would be great to have to look for people to live in there, merchants and alike. Well...in my opinion they should have done something like this rather than make dumb quest to buy a stupid house wich we cannot furnish ourselves, and we dont give it any practical use :S why have 8 houses if there is instant travel? :S only one big happy place would have been enough. Anyway...lets hope they realize what they are doing is useless and decide to launch a full oblivion expansion

Yes, but it would be fair if they got it for free. And they get crap for their money. QUOTE(Aki @ Jun 3 2006, 12:44 AM) The dungeon however, isn't. I don't think so. QUOTE(Aki @ Jun 3 2006, 12:44 AM) Granted, I would LOVE to see Beth use their programmer-ness to introduce unique stuff. Things Modders can't do. It'd be smart. Up sales. Don't encourage them to do that! Instead, encourage them to support the modding community, and provide some decent tools. I'm no modder myself, but a lot of modders are complaining how the CS is limited, how they can't make new animations, slots, weapon types.... And despite that, they completly own Bethesda mods

QUOTE(HyPN0 @ Jun 4 2006, 01:19 PM) Yes. Xbox 360 has it's own HD I think. But they don't purchase it like we do. They have their own system with some kind of Xbox points or something. I don't know the details.
You get points for being good at games you play, certain accomplishments and scores within a game can earn you gamer points which will allow you to purchase mods for your Xbox 360. You can see in several cheat sites what certain actions within game can earn you, completing a guild or a certain quest will earn you gamer points which can be used to buy things through Xbox live. Even if the mods are bad, its worth the game points to have the extra stuff to explore and figure out, the only money you'd have to pay is for the system's online capabilities.

QUOTE(Kiln @ Jun 4 2006, 09:09 PM) You get points for being good at games you play [snip] So you don't have to pay for the mods, but earn them? That is pretty cool, like quests in themselves. You actually have to play the game and make an effort, instead of just taking your credit card out of your wallet...

Microsoft Points are purchased and are used to buy the downloads. Your gamerscore shows your accomplishments and is only valuable for bragging rights and maybe unlockables.
Go to the XBOX dashboard after signing in to the profile, then go to XBOX live Marketplace. Choose Game Downloads, select Oblivion and scroll down to the download you want and select it. Select Confirm Download. If you have enough points, it will download. If not, it gives you an option to purchase points using your credit card or whatever.
