So you see my avatar, my signature, and then decide it's a good idea to inform me you area tory??? Doubt I need an eye kept on me either, I just need to avoid putting my foot in it again Job expertise... well, I've spent 2 summers cleaning a supermarket and thats pretty much it. Which kinda sucks really. I don't really know what I'm looking to study at the moment. Studies law but I would need to take another course toactually practice as a barrister/solicitor and 1) I can't afford to 2) I do't really want to at the moment So... I shall drop into some employment agencies tomorrow and hope they can come up with something... although I foresee myself stacking shelves on a supermarket for a while to be honest EDIT On a side note, why do I keep seeing "Google.com" on the active users list??? So I'm basicly wasteing my time until I get enough cash to study or till I get a better job, wich ever comes first. I'm actully suprised that my gaint man sized brains havent landed me job yet.

QUOTE(Dantrag @ Jun 4 2006, 08:02 PM) Means that someone's googled some info that's on our site. Actually no. Google Bot comes here on its own. It regularily visits every web page out there - how often it visits individual sites depends on how often it thinks they'll be updated. A forum is in constant flux, so you'll see google bot around here quite frequently. The reason why you never saw it on the Elderscrolls.com forums back when they were still showing names of active members was that they disabled that feature in their configuration. I can only guess to avoid pointless threads like "Look mah, google's here!" Anyway, what it does is it tries to go everywhere and look at everything and if something's new or changed, it adds that to its databases so people can find it when they're searching. But it doesn't happen as you search - that would be far too slow

I think I finally solved the fly problem. 140+ flies later >.< (this is the number of counted flies, there were many that went uncounted so probably more in the range of 160-200 flies)
We ended up buying insect spray, and I put the cat in the garag with it's kkitty litter and fod and then locked it in there. I then sprayed all the rooms ont he lowest floor (this si where allt he flies were) Then after about 15 minutes I returned downstairs and resprayed the live flies that seemed more resistent to the spray. After about 45 minutes, I got the vacuum cleanr and vacuumed up all the dead/dying flies.
I then proceeded to get cleaning supplies to cxlean all teh surfaces on the ground floor (to get rid of residual spray that could make the cat ill. I then noted that a fly would occasionally be in the living room, and could hear buzzing from somewhere in there. so after careful inspectiona nd the use of a flashlight I found about 30 more behind the fireplace cover. so I sprayed the entire interior surface of the fireplace. after those flies died I vacuumed them up, and so far haven't seen anymore *fingers crossed and knockng on wood*
so now I am dp cleaning every room downstairs (good news is they could use it) to prevent any residual bugspray on surfaces the cat can reach. I am a bit overprotective you could say, but it would suck for the cat to get sick :S

Hi Sweeties! Yup I´vé got a new router!.(manufacturer´s lightning-warranty!!)....But BOTH my comp´s are smashed by lightning! The old crappy one I´ll get back tomorrow, but my´best one, the lappy is totally DEAD! The network-card is out and also some connector between the loading-device and the battery! So I´ve been on battery for some days, ferociously playing morrowind....then the darn comp died and was not to be restarted again! My hacker-friend measured the voltage and put the diagnosis: DEAD..has to be sent in to the manufacturer! IF I´m lucky...I´ll get a new one! The warranti is still valid so....wish me luck! Oh aye....My friend has taken out the harddrive! On which my entire "life" is stored!..Oh yes my story f.ex! Tomorrow I´ll get the oldie back....it was just the net-part that was damaged, but that one has no network-card so I´ll see if I can use a LAN-adapter! I´m currently sitting on a comp I borrowed from work! Hopefully nobody will mind! But I´m sooo happy to be back..and I will thank you all for your nice words in the "picture-thread" and my "disconnection-thread" It´s really heart-warming to be that missed! I love you all!

Fun little coincidence today- I got an auto-mail from Amazon for a Photoshop book- so I asked my-wife-the-artist if she needed the book...
Turns out that it is one that she was asked to contribute to. /shameless plug/ Digital Collage and Painting: Using Photoshop and Painter to Create Fine Art by Susan Ruddick Bloom /shameless plug
So, of course, she will receive a free copy.
Wow, Minque, I hadn't realized how badly the storm hit you- kind of like the tree branch that bridged the power lines at Mom and Dad's house some years ago and basically fried every radio and clock in the place. (No computers, though, they never owned one.) Anyway, welcome back.

Andreas-Lightning, I bet he was honored by that. So glad you are back Minque. We all sure did miss you, and wonder at first where you'd gone off to.
I guess you guys don't get too much lightning over there but here in Florida nobody runs anything computerish without battery-backup/surge&lightning protectors. We use ACP.
I was stupid enough a few years ago to run through an APC that was not battery-backup and there was a power blip caused by our adjacent neighbors using a wrong/wiring-strength compressor and the hubby's comp was fine, but mine got fried. Had to replace nearly all hardware parts. I mean smoke actually started pouring out of the back of my comp tower...but all was not destroyed and we did get that computer running again.
But now I have a new one and the beauty thing about it is that both computers are purple. Both keyboards are also purple. I have purple chair, purple mousepad, purple gel wristpad, purple CD shelves, purple rug, purple light, purple stapler, stapler remover, scotchtape dispenser ..... I also have mostly a purple kitchen, but we won't go into that here. tee hee hee heee

Well we get some thunderstorms here, not many but still some. And we don´t protect us all that well I must admit. I had this same experience some years ago, then also a comp of mine got fried, so I bought a thunder-and-lightning-protection-device.....but as the years went by I got careless again. One og the comps actually said" pffff" ans strated smelling bad..the other one, my lappy said nowt! The router just died in a silent way. Then I fired up my lappy as usual...figuring if I can´t be on the forums I might as well plat mw. So I did, not aware of that I was running on battery......Then when my friend checked out the lappy he found out my network-card was broken..ok..So I got the device back...but I couldn´t even start it. Back to the hacker again, measuring the voltage on different spots. So verdict: No electrical power gets into it, it´s something broken that prevents the juice to be of any use to the poor comp! But still warranty is valid so in a couple of hours I´m gonna phone the supplier and send the device back.Hopefully I get a brand new one, I think it´s the cheapest thing.....Oh and my harddrive, with my entire life on it is safe in my handbag!!!!

Ahahahah ... now that is true feminine paranoia - - carrying the hard drive around in your handbag!! What did you do? Jettison all your makeup? Not a cordless mouse even would fit in my purse, I've got it so jammed pack full. In fact, it won't even zip closed if everything in it isn't aligned in their true proper order of things. And then I carry an even bigger bag to work, raincoat folded into a pouch, mag flashlight, ID badge pouch, water bottle, magazines, pens, snack treats, etc. etc. etc. Do you think I'm a borderline packrat?? Cain thinks so ... but no borders about it!

Hahaha.....I recognise that! Me too has a handbad big at a suitcase and full of stuff.....wallet (small or huge depending on where I´m going), Ipod, hairbrush, keys, USB-sticks, cellphone, mirror, lipstick, perfume, breakfast-sandwich and my lunch (if I´m off to work), a red plush-kitty (mascot), pens, candy, ID-card for my NPP, a harddrive (80 GB), a mag-lite, a book (to read on the bus to work)..etc..etc.. So who´s the packrat? I think I can almost compete with you Ibis!!! edit: to treydog; Thanks for that useful information! I´ll certainly do that! See my entire Stories are on that harddrive...also the newly started addition of Serene!

Whoooa ... Minque, I think you have won the coveted PackRat Award!! Not all that would fit in my purse. Yours sounds like a combination of my purse & workbag put together. Red plush kitty-mascot really pushed you over. haha I do have a plushy Taz from Tazmania tazmanian-devil doll - who's job is to hold my jewelry when I am at home and don't want to wear it. But he is too big to fit in my purse. Taz also has a throne in our house consisting of a chair with a fur pillow in back & red pillow on seat, but he prefers to remain on a large Christmas tincan that I use as a table right within reach of my computer chair. Cain bought me Taz as a surprise when he was going to the mall with a friend and asked me if I wanted anything and I said "Surprise me." He saw Taz forlornly sitting in the $1.00 sale bin and snagged him for me - - one of my favorite gifts! ============ Danny, Congrats to Mrs. Dantrag for getting published in a major book. Nice to know we have another artist among us. Wonder if it'd be alright if you posted some of her art in the FanArt Forum. I am curious to see it.
