What is your favorite sport? Do you like any sport at all?
Do you like playing it, or just watching it?

Mine's football.
And I don't mean American football, I'm thinking real football (soccer to you yanks tongue.gif)

Oh, I so do love watching Icehockey! And GP F1.

But I don't do sports, I wish I would, but it seems a bit late to start now. I just like running.

I love to watch big events in football (soccer) like this upcoming WC biggrin.gif. But I don't play it, well at least not seriously, only occasionally with friends.

I do train Wushu though, if you can call that a sport. We prefer to call it a "style" wink.gif. Only trained for one year but I love it. smile.gif It's great to have something to do on weekdays to relax from studies and work, it trains my body and clears my mind.

My favourite sport has to be soccer. It is such a good excuse to turn off the tv. biggrin.gif
Man, I think some people here take the WC a bit too far. A few days ago, I heard of a competition. (prize was two tickets for the WC or something) The competition was who could paint his house orange in the most creative way.

Big waste of paint, it looks bad and it is just a stupid idea. Not to mention, buying all that paint would be more expensive than buying two tickets. Oh well, we Dutch are just plain nuts.

Other favourite sports? I used to play Badminton a few years back, but the club got turned into a 'run laps around the hall for two hours cause there's nothing else to do' affair and I quit.

i love to play judo(i think its a sport)
Its like wrestling, but it makes use of throws.....

The down side is, im a white belt...... but im entering in a parade w./my judo club, we get to show off all the action on our float while the others show specific techniques ^^

(Edit)I also do Karate.... im a brown belt in Shorin-Ryu.... but i dont think that specific style participates in the olympic ..... i know that some colleges in japan have karate as a school sport... so yeah

(edit 2)Yeah.... i used to do Xing Yi.... but chinese martial arts dont appeal to me... cept for wushu and wing chun... unless they are one-in-the-same blink.gif

I used to play Rugby League for my university. Played Prop. Back at school though I played second row in Union.

I like football - I'm a Leeds United fan (I know that is quite often contradictory to being a football fan, seeing as they're sometimes so bad it doesn't count as football). I watch the odd American Football game, following the Minnesota Vikings. I also like a good game of cricket - wonderful spectator sport. I don't know if Snooker counts, but I play a bit of that too. Uhm.. Archery is fun.

Oh, and Badminton, too. I like whacking my loaf of bread at opponents. Problem is getting the balance between height and power - quite often it stays up too long, and they just whack it back at me.

That's just crazy, it seems you had some bad experiences with sports. I'm not fanatical at all, I watch the WC and nothing else, that's once every four years! What I like about it is the fact that countries all over the world come together and actually stop their seriousness with politics, wars, disputes, etc, and just have fun playing football! It's like my dream come true when it comes to politics smile.gif.

Is white belt bad? Cause I don't see the downside of going on a parade. It sounds very fun biggrin.gif. In Kung-Fu we don't use belts, so I just know that black belt is the best tongue.gif.

Why would it be? You don't want to become a pro, you just want to have some fun biggrin.gif

Oh, yeah. Alan Smith, Aaron Lennon, Harry Kewell, Jamie Milner, Paul Robinson, Ian Harte, Gary Kelly, David Batty, Scott Carson.

Pretty good, really.

Oh, I don't know... Just because I watch it doesn't mean that I know much about it tongue.gif. I hope for Sweden of course, we have a great team this year and a good starting-board (we can deal with England, Paraguay might be a surprise-challenge, Trinidad-Tobago... well.. let's just say it's fun to see them on the WC biggrin.gif).

When I was younger, much younger (elementary school) I played football. I sucked at it, but hey, it was good fun (unless you'd fall down - we played on concrete terrains X( ). Then, in highschool, I played B-Ball with friends, but only as a form of recreation, nothing competitive (our schools are much diferent on that matter than the ones in USA)...
...and finally, after highschool, I've stopped with intensive physical activities sad.gif I'm a regular couch-potato now. Still, I enjoy watching football, B-ball, tennis (Rolan Gaross is on, btw), ice hockey and various other sports... and yes, I am too concerned about that first game Serbia has against Holland ohmy.gif HyPNO, it would be wise to knock on the wood first, and then get into the fightin' spirit biggrin.gif *knocks on wood and prays for the boys in Blue*

I like boxing... every once in a while my cousin and I put on the boxing gloves and beat each other silly... until one feels like passing out or if we get exhausted... one time we lasted 20 minutes fighting... my mom was just watching and laughing how both of us almost fell after throwing a punch... good times... good times...

I play everything, almost, or used to before I moved about 5 years ago, but I still love snowboarding, and I know the rules to any games my friends pick up in a field.

Oh? I´m impressed! For my part I don´t do any regular sports.....just a bit of Nordic Walking now and then......I used to go swimming but hubby does it on a regular basis and I got bored going with him ´cause he is a man,.....and men always wanna compete! And I loathe that.....I wanted to do it without measuring the time to go a certain distance, just swim for fun! ot noooooway!!! Always that discussion of time and how much improvement since last time

gah!!!

So now I do activities on my own.....it suits me fine!

Well... think it's between soccer and off-road biking smile.gif I really like to do a lot of things, either involving wheels or a ball. Played soccer since I was about 5 years old, played golf since I was 10 which was the same period I started both climbing and interest in off-road biking. When I was 12 it was hockey I started getting hooked on... But it's been a year since I have played hockey and quite some time since I ever climbed anything at all.. tongue.gif

... but I guess for now, that soccer is my favorite sport wink.gif
