What is your favorite sport? Do you like any sport at all? Do you like playing it, or just watching it? Mine's football. And I don't mean American football, I'm thinking real football (soccer to you yanks )

I love to watch big events in football (soccer) like this upcoming WC . But I don't play it, well at least not seriously, only occasionally with friends. I do train Wushu though, if you can call that a sport. We prefer to call it a "style" . Only trained for one year but I love it. It's great to have something to do on weekdays to relax from studies and work, it trains my body and clears my mind.

My favourite sport has to be soccer. It is such a good excuse to turn off the tv. Man, I think some people here take the WC a bit too far. A few days ago, I heard of a competition. (prize was two tickets for the WC or something) The competition was who could paint his house orange in the most creative way. Big waste of paint, it looks bad and it is just a stupid idea. Not to mention, buying all that paint would be more expensive than buying two tickets. Oh well, we Dutch are just plain nuts. Other favourite sports? I used to play Badminton a few years back, but the club got turned into a 'run laps around the hall for two hours cause there's nothing else to do' affair and I quit.

I used to play Rugby League for my university. Played Prop. Back at school though I played second row in Union.
I like football - I'm a Leeds United fan (I know that is quite often contradictory to being a football fan, seeing as they're sometimes so bad it doesn't count as football). I watch the odd American Football game, following the Minnesota Vikings. I also like a good game of cricket - wonderful spectator sport. I don't know if Snooker counts, but I play a bit of that too. Uhm.. Archery is fun.
Oh, and Badminton, too. I like whacking my loaf of bread at opponents. Problem is getting the balance between height and power - quite often it stays up too long, and they just whack it back at me.

That's just crazy, it seems you had some bad experiences with sports. I'm not fanatical at all, I watch the WC and nothing else, that's once every four years! What I like about it is the fact that countries all over the world come together and actually stop their seriousness with politics, wars, disputes, etc, and just have fun playing football! It's like my dream come true when it comes to politics . QUOTE(dagoth carlos @ Jun 5 2006, 07:54 PM) i love to play judo(i think its a sport) Its like wrestling, but it makes use of throws..... Cause I don't see the downside of going on a parade. It sounds very fun . In Kung-Fu we don't use belts, so I just know that black belt is the best .

QUOTE(HyPN0 @ Jun 5 2006, 09:17 PM) Oh, I don't know... Just because I watch it doesn't mean that I know much about it . I hope for Sweden of course, we have a great team this year and a good starting-board (we can deal with England, Paraguay might be a surprise-challenge, Trinidad-Tobago... well.. let's just say it's fun to see them on the WC ). When I was younger, much younger (elementary school) I played football. I sucked at it, but hey, it was good fun (unless you'd fall down - we played on concrete terrains X( ). Then, in highschool, I played B-Ball with friends, but only as a form of recreation, nothing competitive (our schools are much diferent on that matter than the ones in USA)... ...and finally, after highschool, I've stopped with intensive physical activities I'm a regular couch-potato now. Still, I enjoy watching football, B-ball, tennis (Rolan Gaross is on, btw), ice hockey and various other sports... and yes, I am too concerned about that first game Serbia has against Holland HyPNO, it would be wise to knock on the wood first, and then get into the fightin' spirit *knocks on wood and prays for the boys in Blue*

And I loathe that.....I wanted to do it without measuring the time to go a certain distance, just swim for fun! ot noooooway!!! Always that discussion of time and how much improvement since last time gah!!! So now I do activities on my own.....it suits me fine!

Well I got hooked on the last WC soccer ("bark" "bark" "YELP" "POP!!!" , Hey I'm Not European!!! Get that puppy back here!) I'm still ticked at how my country got taken out last time by spain. I'm Sticking with Brazille all the way this time. Pro-wrestling is one of my fav.s as well, It's fun watching big guy dress up and beat the living crap out of each other. Some of those moves looks like thay realy hurt. They do at home in any case, esspecialy on thin matresses and hard concrete floors.
