QUOTE(Tellie @ Jun 8 2006, 09:35 AM)
The last days I have really started to listen to Iron Maiden, so for the moment I'm listening to "The Number of the beast", and I must say it's a damn good song.

Another favourite of mine, is "The Wickerman" (thanks Fuzzy for reckommending it to me laugh.gif)

But I'm still more of a Rock lover.

But I must say that Alice Cooper is definately one of the better Rock/Metal singers out there...I was on his consert in Stavanger yesterday, and it was some of the best things I have ever experienced biggrin.gif:D

All bands bow to the power of Queensryche!

Listening to 'The Mission' and 'Speak' over and over while learning them on guitar.

I think that Geoff Tate should write a novel on Operation: Mindcrime. It would be a bestseller.

It made me lose my mind
Shot you with my '38
And now I'm doin' time
And you put me here
You put me here
Well there's no way to doubt
There ain't no two ways about it
As sure as your name's Kate
You put me here!

And for those of you who like AC/DC here, I have just headr from an interviuw that they are on the way of releasing a new album, so thay are currently playing in the studio, so the new album will either be released late this year, or they will release a double album next year (thats what they were hoping on)

So meh, I can hardly wait for the new record to come out. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Omg! AC/DC working on a new album? Great. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap ... love those guys.

Yes, Tellie. You have very good taste in music. My younger sister turned me on to Alice Cooper many a moon ago. He still always reminds me of her.

There is a guy who calls in for pizza at our local Hungry Howie's using the name Alice Cooper but has never been seen. When they deliver, a woman answers the door. But legend has it that it is really Alice. He does own stock cars for racing in Florida, but I don't think he really lives in Orlando. lolol

Well well Wolfie, Maiden is a very good band thought wink.gif

Right now we're talking Dream Theater - Acid Rain, just fell in love with that guitar first time I heard it, great song smile.gif

May I add, I got a couple of Dream Theater songs from a friend today. Including a couple of guitar solo's and one where they sing Metallica's - Master of Puppets live. It's really cool to hear the vocalist singing and hearing the WHOLE crowd singing along too, with the whole song! biggrin.gif

I've heard that Master of Puppets too.

I don't think LaBrie's voice fits the song very well.

Hell yea! Some one has got good taste. SoaD is  my fav band, 2nd is Rumstein. biggrin.gif
Btw hows Mesmerize sounding, got Hypnotize and all the others except that one. huh.gif
*

I listen to Rammestein some as well but I'm American and don't understand any of the words so I prefer SoaD, the beat is good to Rammestein's music but thats all I can judge it by so I don't play it too often.

Mezmerize was very good, the words and music are actually pretty hypnotizing as with their other cds, I thought that their music might kinda drop off after "toxicity" since an album like that is hard to beat (in my opinion) but after buying these cds I must say that I'm not dissapointed at all.

The only thing that I didn't like about mezmerize is that it was kinda short. You can check out some other reviews here on Amazon just scroll down a little from the screen it takes you to and there's the reviews. Seems that most every SoaD fan liked Mezmerize and my personal opinion for another SoaD fan: get it.

You can also check out their main site to play two of their mezmerize songs, "Question!" and "Byob" both I thought were good and the others are good too. Convenient link here.

So SRY. I have totally mixed things up. I have Mesmerize and not Hypnotize. sad.gif

Sry about that but I do apritiate the effort. smile.gif
I'm gonna get me Hypnotize as soon as I have enough cash.

I also have no clue what Rammestien is singing about but when you get the lirics some of it is pretty cool.

Thanks agian Klin. smile.gif

Rammstein just doesn't do anything for me except make me push the off button on whatever audio device happens to be playing it.

Every song is repetitive, and mixes techno/electronica with metal in a way that just doesn't please me.

kvleft.gif

On a better note, I just learned that Queensryche came out with a sequel to their 1988 release of the album Operation: Mindcrime this year. Believe it or not, it's called Operation: Mindcrime II. (How clever) Anyway, I have high expectations for the album both musically and lyrically, since the first one told such an amazing story.

I'm a newbie to Queensryche, but I'm trying to get my status up to Supreme Fan. laugh.gif

Im listening to: RJD2, "Butterfly Caught Remix"

Its perdy unique, seeing as how rdj2 goes beyond scratching and mixing.... the majoirty of his mixes are soothing.... and can sometimes get you in diffrent moods, check it out sometime.... you wont regret it(unless ur an anti hip-hop person)

At the moment I'm listning to Black Diamond Brigade, with Black Diamond. Playing the coverversion of the Kiss-classic «Black Diamond».

The band is built up by several artists... We have Torgny Amdam as the vocalist from the norweigan punk band Amulet. Backed up by the two guitarist Knut Schreiner and Sigurd Wongraven from the two norwegian bands Turboneger and Satyricon. Drums is Tarjei Strøm from Ralph Myerz & The Jack Herren Band, the bass is played by Billy Gould, from the american Faith No More.

Results of all of them is a good sharp and strong song with good tempo. Metal / Hardrock song wink.gif

I wanted to say something, but in second thought I hold it back... not knowing what Stargel could do to me indifferent.gif

Over here thought...

Been listning to some different stuff here... I've summoned into my playlist some good old songs by Foo Fighters. Along with some Queenryche, don't really think their music is that good thought - I like the rather fast moving stuff which I really notice when I listen to it, but then again, some of it it's pretty good. Also listning to some different Gluecifer songs...

But now... A good old, chill and funny song by Foo Fighters... smile.gif

Foo Fighters - For all the Cows biggrin.gif

What songs did you listen to by Queensryche, if I may ask?

I'm glad that you tried them out at least, even if you don't like them. (Not many people I know like them either)
