Awwwe... your right. I haven't heard of a post from Khajiit Overlord Rainer in quite awhile. I hope he is okay. Let us just hope that some Lady Khajiity Underlord has gotten ahold of him for awhile...but not TOO tight. Gotta loosen the reins on those khajiits. tee hee. tongue.gif

Congratz to both CR2032 and LordDoomsday for your little offsprings birthdays.

CR2032, does your little one have a ... name ?? ... number ?? ... identification code ??

Our beloved Khajiit has probably taken up another game - or another forum. I normally only tend to follow forums for games I'm currently playing, and I haven't played Oblivion for the last month or so. Guess this forum is so friendly I simply can't let it go... smile.gif

Anyway, Khajiit Overlord is only 16 years or something, so he's probably quite restless. Hopefully he'll be back soon. Remember a few weeks ago he was away for abou a week, and then he returned! smile.gif

Ah, Rainer is only 16? Well that probably explains it. Maybe he is off playing this Spore game that everyone was talking about. Has that started yet? Was quite the stir, wasn't it? Everyone talking about it awhile back.

Guys, I'm in withdrawal.

I had to send my guitar off to a repair shop today. I don't know what to do anymore. verysad.gif

Actually, I'm exaggerating, but it still sucks because I really want to play right now.

*hug* sry dantrag, while I don't play the guitar, my sister and others I know do, and I know that withdrawal people can go through. Hang in there wink.gif.

on the bright side, I just got a look at my almost finished bed, that my mom's bf is making me. It's gorgeous. queen sized, made from maple. I'll get pics when it's finished so you can all see it.

EDIt: malfunctioning 'e' key.

danny, I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope it will be repaired and back soon. I know Cain was going quite nuts when we moved away from our studios to these condos here and he couldn't play drums anymore.

So the solution was a bass guitar. I hope yours is back real soon. I would suggest banging on all the coffeetables and flat surfaces, but I think that remedy only works for drummers. huh.gif

Good news on the guitar situation.

The guy called me like an hour later, and said that my guitar was the one that took the least amount of work, and he only had an hour of work left, so he put me at the front of the waiting list and got it done. I can pick it up tomorrow. In exactly nine hours and twenty eight minutes.

I guess it's good that I'm a known patron of walt's guitar shop. smile.gif

What had to be repaired thought?

Well, I'm still glad there's a couple of guitars around in this house. Two Fender Strat's, one Squire and a Fender Telecaster. Have thought of trying out the Telecaster, haven't played with it yet...

Only three days of school left now, we handed inn all the books today - was only one I didn't have which I really don't even want to think about looking for, the New-Norwegian Dictionary just have to pay for it, not a big deal, glad the part is over since it's completely meaningless to learn a language which will count when you apply for work and stuff when the language is not even spoken!

On Monday we just have to show up 18:00, gonna have some sort of chill evening. Ball/prom on tuesday at this big mansion before a last couple of hours on wednesday and it's all over! Finished with that school and in August I will know which school I've gotten into and on what line (line is just what we call it, regards to what we're going to study - Hopefully for me, it will be Media and Communication) biggrin.gif

My volume knob was busted and I couldn't get my guitar to make a sound through the amp. Something came loose and made it so that it could twist all the way around, and it eventually snapped some wires.

I actually like the way a tele plays better than tthe strrat. But I don't think I'd ever buy a fender unless it was a bass.

Yay for Danny's guitar! It does pay to be a frequent patron at your favorite stores.

I was suppose to move yesterday, but our ride blew a tire and had to be towed back to Eugene :[

Still, it's coming back today. Hopefully in a few hours.

Hey, as a side note, I have a little tech problem I need help with. Anything that requires a bit more graphical power than a flash program or such doesn't work on our (newly acquired) laptop (basicly games don't work). Apparently my friend deleted a bunch of programs off of it a few years ago (before it was ours) and accidently deleted something important. We reformated it but games still don't work.

I went to check out the video card and it doesn't even recognise they type of the video card, it just says it's an "undidentified video card". I scoured the computer but I couldn't find any internal or external sources that identified the video card. I checked the manufacturer's website but it doesn't even recognize my model as being on of their products (I know it can't be older than a year or two).

So I checked DEBUG and the most I could find out was it (the video card) is manufactured by ATI... and that's about it. So basicly, what I'm asking is: is there a a way I can have my computer recognise the video card so I can find out what driver to download? I don't even know what the hell the video card specificly is.

Thanks.

You might try downloading and running SISoft Sandra. here . It is a freeware diagnostic that allows you to look at system configuration and performance. Also, please list the Model No. and brand of PC- lots of folks here who enjoy a little ferreting... smile.gif

Okay. Thank you, I'll look into that.

Well, this information won't be very useful, but from what I can scrounge it's a Toshiba Satellite... though I have no idea what model it is indifferent.gif

I thought it was a Satellite A85-S107... but when I search it up on the database it doesn't come up with anything.

Hiya Stomach Ache! Too bad about your ride ... hope they do get it together and come for you tomorrow as you said.

As far as the video card, why don't you go to ATI website and see if you can find pictures of their video cards and see if you can visually recognize yours from the looks of it. Just an idea.

Cain says to look up the model number of your laptop because most of those are not switchable and you should find out what video card it uses. He also said if the previous person deleted a system file, all you have to do is reinstall your Operating System and it will be included.

If it's dos based ... your programs will be there and the sys/file will be restored. If it is NT based, which it probably is being only 2 years old, 2000 or XP, reinstalling the OS will set things to Default, which will erase your programs.

If its proprietory, which most laptops are, put in the recovery disk and it will get set to default and you will have to reput in your programs. K?

*Stummy, when I looked up Toshiba Satellite all I get for software Driver downloads were printers and fax machines. Wonder why?

O.K. according to a couple of sources, the card should be

ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000

You should be able to find a link for a driver from ATI's Page about the Mobility 9000

Yeah, I used to do this for a living back when I was a PC tech. Before I became a world-famous testing technician and author laugh.gif
