Same story as always tongue.gif

QUOTE(minque @ Apr 30 2005, 01:22 AM)
This is meant to be a place where you can talk about anything without having to stay on topic. Feel free to ask questions, to talk about the things in your life you like to share with your fellow-members. Or just step inside for a while, have a coffe and a good chat!
You may feel free to post whatever you like as long as it is within the rules of the forum.
But if the conversation degrades to spam, you will be treated as though you are spamming anywhere else on the forum. This is a thread where you can relax and talk about personal things, but it is not to be used as an excuse to make pointless posts.
Please help to keep this alive and well and a place where we can meet and share.
Enjoy your stay here!!! wink.gif  biggrin.gif

And the rules:
QUOTE(Alexander @ May 29 2005, 11:47 AM)
We had intended the coffee shop to be a nice place where people could talk about their daily activities and such, kinda like the Lurkers Lair on the Official Forums.
It didn't quite turn out that way though, people have been taking advantage of their freedoms in here, there has been a lot of spamming and even some flaming. We will not tolerate that any longer.
So unfortunately we've had to decide to increase the rules for this thread. Of course the normal forum rules still apply, but we'll elaborate here.:
1. No spamming.
We consider double posting and posting posts with only a few words to be spam. If you do that your post will be deleter or moved, do it too often and you might receive a warning for it.
We also consider chit-chat spam. This forum has a special chat channel for chatting, you're welcome to go there, and chat with other members or with the staff as we're always there, doing it in here is not allowed.
The address to that chatroom is:
W4O chat
And for assistence to use a chat like this, I recommend looking over this thread:
http://forums.waiting4oblivion.com/viewtopic.php?t=248
Or contacting one of the Administrators.
2. No discussion of accounts or warnings.
There shall be no more discussion about members, about accounts, about how many warnings you've gotten or anything like that.
3. No trolling.
No posting of random nonsense, no posting of irrelevant things, no posting the same thing over and over just to get it noticed, no swearing or flaming.
4. No religion or politics.
No discussion about religion or politics is to be had in these threads. If you want to discuss religion or politics, please do make another thread, or if another such thread already exists, please post in it.
If you have a question about the rules of the forums, feel free to ask it to either a Global Moderator or an Administrator.
If you're unsure if something is fit to post here, it might be. Again best to ask a Global Moderator or Administrator.
If you're wondering how we think a Lair or the Coffee Shop should look like, what we do allow, then I recommend taking a look at the Lurkers Lair at the Official Forums.

Otherwise, enjoy biggrin.gif

I don't really pay much attention to ranks or postcount though. ohmy.gif

Nor do I, I look for quality in posts, not quantity. I could care less if someone has lots of posts or not, just depends on the stuff they post.

Thats why I don't like huge forums, because people think that just because they have a high rank, they're better than everyone else...people with high ranks here at Chorrol are just like everyone else and thats reason #231 that I like it here. laugh.gif

Well, yeah. But you only say that 'cause it's true, Danny. tongue.gif

Has been very dry here in Tennessee- mowed the yard yesterday for the first time in a month and was surprised by how little growth there had been.... Still, everything is green and lots of flowers are in bloom- should see the first blossoms on some day-lilies I bought Mrs. Treydog last year. Even with the heat, I love the summer- reminds me of the days when I used to drive my '66 Mustang (yes, I am an old doggie) up to the mountains in the evenings- windows down and tape player blasting rock or blues.... the night was just so alive with possibility. Don't have the car anymore, but I have Mrs. Treydog and two grandsons- not a bad trade.

Wow Treydog, you must be around my age. Sounds wonderful and a mustang was one of the cars that we gang of girls used to terrorize the highways with in high school. It was my friend's and then we also would all pile into my Dad's powder blue Dodge Coronet '88 that matched my eyes.
But our best car was this old Oldsmobile Rocket '88 from the '50s. (this alll happened in the late '60s) But the Rocket, for which we were most famous, was really cool and had power steering and power brakes which the Coronet didn't even have.
The reason we were famous for our two-tone green Rocket was that whenever we were displeased by waitress service in a restaurant, we were known to accidentally mow down some of their trees or shruberries when leaving the parking lot. And also, when we used to see those vain people who park their precious T-birds or Corvettes or what-ladeeda-ever car acrost 2 spaces so that no one will scratch their car ..... we'd give 'em a rear end job with the Rocket's bumpers. The Rocket was like a tank and nothing even scratched it.

Ooooh, but I'm telling how bad I used to be. I'm a very law abiding senior-almost citizen now, so don't send any cops to my house, see?

O.K. according to a couple of sources, the card should be

ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000

You should be able to find a link for a driver from ATI's Page about the Mobility 9000

Yeah, I used to do this for a living back when I was a PC tech.  Before I became a world-famous testing technician and author laugh.gif

Sound card should be a Realtek ALC250.

What's scary is I can handle a computer way better than my Dad can, but he always denies that fact, it's like some weird new-age son-beats-dad-at-basketball thing.

I like my post count.. I have never had this many posts anywhere cause my ADD tends to kick in smile.gif

So whats up ladies and gents? Mighty fine here at my place.. Actually I had a wonderful week insofar. When down to Charlotte NC and visited a few friends, actually one specifically wub.gif And we err.. remebered the good ol' times.. Back when I was in my skater-punk stage, didn't care what anyone thought.

Now.. I'm back home and sorta sad and happy. She's trying to go to a school in New York for dance, and I'm trying to go to a college in Vermont so we might not be that far away. But I've already damned myself cause I've damned long distance relationships..

Gah. I hate being in limbo

Not to worry, pretty soon everyone will come out an ridicule the idea to death or simply ignore it, and think I'm making a joke, just like last time.
