This is not going to help either team. I think both played below their abilities and I have to wonder what is going on with them. It wasn't that hot, and they both had good chances -the Croatians more so than the Japanese- but neither made anything of them.

Well - Brazil hasn't been it's best the first half this match as well, I'm really wondering if they got what it takes this year, if they're going to build up or what ever, doesn't look that way in my opinion - but I guess they will make it in the end... maybe...

Wondering how FRA vs KOR will go - Hopefully France will manage to score...

If Zidane still sends great passes to Henry - and Henry doesn't shoot like a WUSS they should be able to score and hopefully lead before the second half. In the second half I hope they will play much better than what they did in their last match when it all died out in the second half...

So... Place your bets! biggrin.gif

2-0, but they didn't show their full potential.
EDIT:
I'm refering to Brazil - Australia match. I think Ronaldo is to blame. He's becoming too slow. wacko.gif

Yeah, Rolando is slowing down. Even the Brazilian president is concerned about his sudden weight gain.

The Croatia Japan game was sad. Neither team was playing too well and Japan got Football mixed up with Rugby. C'mon, who American Football tackles a guy with two broken ribs? People thinks Croatia milks injuries, but they don't. Due to their enormous height they fall harder then others. Talking about height, the average Japanese player was 3 inches smaller than the average croatian player, which seems to prove the stereotypes tongue.gif.

Brazil seems to have gotten themselves mixed up with a herd of potatoes. They're really not playing like they should be.

Typical brazilian playing - Defense and Midfield does most of the work before leaving the ball to the few big stars and playmakers on the field Ronaldo, Ronaldinho etc. and let them score...

But when those don't play good they usually end up playing like they do... If Brazil doesn't improve they will won't come far this time since they have already played lazy against the decent teams and come out with victory in hand but that won't help against the better teams...

And I'm tired of all the stuff around Ronaldo, the poor guy has been out with injury before WC - and maybe he's not as good as he used to, but not many great football stars have lived up to their expectations have they? That's typical of the WC that the stars often doesn't play so good. The only really star I've seen actually play well is Zidane when he played against Switzerland - he still does the good oldschool tricks and sends good passes and the man that sets everything in motion for the french team...

Lula changed his mind. He even apologized to Ronaldo for that remark.

Besides, give the poor guy some time to get better. This is only the first round, nothing where the Brazilians can't afford someone like Ronaldo getting some coming-back time! And you could see the improvement from the first to the second game. He did prepare that first goal.

Well, it ain't over yet, and to be honest I'm more worried about Owen's injury. Looked like his cruciate ligaments, which would rule him out of the rest of the competition.

The decision not to take Defoe in the squad is starting to look ominous.
