I didn mention this happened to someone else, right? I've never taken doages that high, I've barely touched the surface. I have my own stories if you'd like to hear them, they're not bad. Anyway yeah, I quit all drugs besides psychedellics. I never really took them, anyway.
And stomach ache, none of that stuff is addictive, nothing I mentioned, nothing I would ever try to start a topic about is addictive. I don't believe in promoting things to be sued to make you forget your problems. I would never promote something that can lead you down a hard path where it starts out fun then just sucks. It required a level of personal responsibility to take psychedellic substances but there are a different class than anything else. They're not used so you can forget your problems, they're not addictive, they just don't work that way. Usually they make for incredible experiences you'll take with you your entire life.
But I was trained, I guess, my friends are 'heads, they know how to handle their trips, they know how to build a correct environment, they know how to prevent crap like the story I posted from happening.

Hey everyone. the hecticness of the school year has started. back to working at the coffeeshop *yay* gonna get two raises this year which means that I'll finally be making at least $7.00 an hour. and classes are so far, very interesting, though this year might actually prove to be a challenge(for the first time in college, but I did sign up for as many challenging courses as I could because college so far has been a waste of money in my opinion)
Anyways my absence has been due not to school and work, but to of all things a fried network card and modem. so it seems that a lightning storm decided to fry not only the network card on m pc, but also the ethernet port on the actual modem. so after replacing the network card, and still incapable of connecting to the internet I have had to wait until I could get a replacement modem to get online. I am not sure if the damage from the surge was only to the network card, as it seems that during startup the BIOS sometimes does strange things (like saying that a new CPu has been installed, or that new hardware has been detected, or simply not starting) so I suspect that the surge might have frazzled my MOBO. but I am not sure. In fact not sure how I can check to see the extent of the damage. any ideas are welcome.
and I keep seeing the ex-bf all over campus which i don't particularly care for :S. it seems he has also decided to start talking to me again. Not sure what to make of the situation

No, I mean I'm easily addicted to things that aren't even addictive. It's just a personality thing and a personal weakness. I have to watch my habits with anything enjoyable, or I can take it too far very easily without noticing. This post has been edited by Intestinal Chaos: Aug 27 2006, 02:24 AM

Yes TMM ... your neighborhood surprises me too. I still cannot believe you all pulled off a blockparty so well. Kudos!! Chaos, someday you and I are going to sit down together @ MySpace and have a long chat about your wanderings and homelessness observations .... I would love to here them. Being vagrant, with no anchor place of your own, tends to heighten the senses & puts you in a very good observation of life mode. Yay! Stargel has the Cute Kitten Police out again. Yes Starg, we have had irritating neighbors ... in the condo right above us. Luckily these condos are extremely well soundproofed, but when this couple upstairs would play their rap or reggae music supersonically all we could hear was the thumping bass beat. Happily (for us) they argued & fistfighted their way right out of this condo complex, courtesy of the police. Megil, I would take the renewed interest on the part of a previous bf to mean as a sign of regret or perhaps renewed interest. Doomie honey, shrooms can be addictive ... I knew a couple in TX whose extra refrigerator was jampacked full of freeze-dried cowpattie-blooms that they made a fortune from shipping to NYC. But they were totally addicted. Also, mariquanna is addictive despite what people say ... try stopping. It's hard, whether you blame it on the lifestyle, friends, whatever. We quit and our lives entirely changed = all that dope money going to drums, bass guitar, computers, video games, clothing, etc. And all the people we thought were our friends turned out to be mooching hangers-on .... we never see any of them anymore.

It's habit forming but it's not addictive in the sense that your body craves it. Shrooms are hard to get addicted to but people who get used to them can form habits as well. I'm not really irresponsible like that. I smoked for 2 years straight and couldn't even get addicted to that, I just got pissed off for like a month straight after I stopped smoking.
But I'm just one of those people that can't get addicted to anything, except cocaine, which was a conscious decision and a conscious mistake that I'll never go back to. The thing is, people say you have to give up your control to a higher power and admit defeat and work your way to success, but to me that's BS, the only way I ever quit was by not thinking I was addicted, and choosing to quit just because.
Anyway, that shall be my last post... I'm going to Peru for the next 9 days. Enjoy yourselves, I'll bring stories back with me.

Well, it has been a rather full week, what with official registration at the college. That is over now, and regular stuff will soon begin. Of more interest- we have finally begun listing Mrs. Treydog’s paintings on Ebay. After some consideration, I let her “inherit” my existing account with the 60+ positive feedbacks. We first placed 4 paintings and already have a bid on one of them. At the moment, we are trying for reasonable pricing (as in $20.00 for a 5x7). If she develops a following, we will maintain the lower-priced pieces and maybe begin to list some larger work for higher prices. Before finally going with Ebay, we did visit a couple of local galleries, just to see…. The thing is- they are not primarily showing paintings and you can’t be sure how much they will promote your work. Add the fact that galleries take a 50-70% commission, and it just seemed like Ebay was a better choice. If time permits, we may do a couple of the better regional shows (like Blowing Rock, NC). And then I got the Ebay bug again, so I started a new account and listed some of my PC games that I don’t play anymore. Kind of a long, dull ramble, I guess- but we are excited about it all.

Some good "excuses" for when you come home late from a date: We fell asleep (works better with a car) We ran out of gas & had to walk to a gas station (ditto) One of us dropped our keys outa the pocket and spent time looking for them We ran into friends and lost track of the time My watch got wet/stopped/is running backwards/whatever The movie was longer than expected A viscous dog made us climb a tree We took a different way home and got lost My bf & I in hs had a million of them, but it didn't really matter cause my mom really liked him, so I never got in trouble when with him anyway ... best excuse = both's parents like both kids. ...... from the Ibis highschool diaries Awwe geeze, I made a double post ... sorry! QUOTE(stargelman @ Aug 27 2006, 02:38 AM) Yeah, well. It's the (late) middle of the night, and I just endured an hour of way too loud music from my neighbours, until I called the police. Of course when they got here, the neighbours had stopped for over 10 minutes. Go figure. My head is pounding and I'm really annoyed. I'm thinking of removing their fuses next time they go rock concert on me in the middle of the night. Anyone else got a problem with moronic neighbours?
With their idiotic children A host of kids from other buildings, for some reason unknown to me, comes frequently to hang arround in front of our building. NOw, I don't mind the noise they produce [usually just loud laughs and occasional yelling] but they sometimes vandalise cars. My rear glass on my '86. VW "Golf 2" was broken 2 times last year - after 2nd time, I went down and told a few kids I'll starts skinning people soon if I notice another scratch. Didn't help much, as they still continue to gather & piss me off in process. One of these days, god help me, I'll do something stupid. p.s.: before you say "why don't you ask them politely to leave" or "Why not call police ?" I'll just say that both options are futile. These kids [you may even call them Serbian equivalent of 'chavs', they fit description just fine] mock people and would [i presume] only start taking things seriously if I went down one night carrying a baseball bat, a hunting knife or something equivally solid. And the damn police never sends no one.

QUOTE(Ibis @ Aug 28 2006, 07:21 AM) Yeh, the police would probably only show up if you did go down with a baseball bat! Sp Mil, you drive an '86 car too .... we have an '86 Honda Civic here. Just think, next year our cars will hit the 20 year mark & in 5 after that will be classic cars. As to scratches n dents, the idiots next to us seem to be hitting the passenger side of our car when they open their SUV door .... boy, I'd like to catch them at that! *Psst* In case you didn't know it's 2006, so they're already 20 years old. ALmost 21 actually, since car models come out almost a year earlier than they say. Anyway, I drive an '87 toyota camry. Wagon. It's somewhat awesome. Except for the fact that it has no power steering anymore.
