QUOTE(ShogunSniper @ Dec 9 2006, 12:10 AM)
Veric
Veric decided to take the initiative and make a little gamble. "I agree completely," he paused and looked around. Noting he was in the Imperial Palace, he gestured towards the exit and made his way outside with Rann before continuing quietly, "Have you ever considered taking a stand against the empire? Several friends of mine have contemplated attempting to start a revolution and make some changes in the way things are governed. Now would be an excellent time to put things into action with this recent... disaster." Veric's acting was genuine, and he played the part he hoped Rann would be able to relate to; a young mer with hopes of being something important. The leader of a rebellion, for example.
Rann"I assume that you would make yourself the new ruler, am I right?" he didn't wait for an answer since he was so sure of his assertion. "So what kind of changes would you make in the way things are governed?" Growing up around politics gave him a good knowledge of government and allowed him to form his own opinions about what was good and what was bad. He had often refused to carry out assassinations for the Countess, to her dismay, so firm was he in his opinions. Now this mer stood in front of him, wanting to change the Empire for the better. Or so Rann hoped. He couldn't help but wonder if the stranger had the resources necessary.

Veric"Such details are still undecided. A democracy of sorts, perhaps? Where the people choose the person to represent and govern Cyrodiil. I also believe in completely redesigning the legal system in the empire. Corruption runs deep and no longer should we allow the word of Imperial Guardsman to be the law. It seems any shady fellow can be picked up and held for murder nowadays." Veric, in fact, hadn't given much thought to the question. His true intention of ever reaching the position of emperor was not a noble one. In fact most of his little speech he had made up off of the top of his head.

QUOTE(Florodine of Hlaalu @ Dec 9 2006, 03:11 AM)
Eurod, Bruma
"Oh? A surprise? I like the sound of that," he said hugging her again as she took his hand and lead him off. The brisk wind of the north blew through town, though he did not notice it as it was that way almost everyday. Gruna-gra-jalos walked by and waved to the couple. The proprieter of the Jerral View inn also waved as he sweeped the front step of his tavern.
Galadrile"Come darling, let me show you..I´ve rented...a room at the Jerral Inn, so we could have some..eh privacy.Oh and I also have a gift for you" QUOTE(Lord Revan @ Dec 9 2006, 03:58 AM) Issac
Despite being uncomfortable around Satyana Issac found himself walking beside her, he let out an exasperated sigh, but mantained his pace with her. "So how were you brought up?" The question had come out of the sky itself, and he wasn't sure why he felt compelled to ask.
QUOTE(Dantrag @ Dec 9 2006, 05:56 AM)
Rann
He again ignored his sister's warnings after sensing the anger in her thoughts. He decided to tune them out since he wasn't in the mood for argument.
"As have I." he replied. "The Empire's greed allows for murder to be forgiven with just the right amount of gold. Not to mention the fact that Counts, Lords, and Dukes all have free reign in their territories with not a soul to answer to."
SatyanaSatyana smiled faintly at Issac, "I was brought up in Ald´ruhn" she said, "By Serene, my grandmother, maybe you know of her?, But now I´m studying at The University of Tamriel in Chorrol..or at least I used to before all this mess took place" she added . It was also obvious Rann had closed himself to her, so she would need to just stay put, in the background so make sure she´ll be there when all oblivion broke loose. That man was evil..pure evil and she felt a bit scared for herself as well...sort of. But her concern for Rann was greater....her lil´brother or at least she thought of him that way...right or wrong? she had no idea! OOC: I think the girls were born some minutes before Rann....I could be mistaken but then Danny will correct me!

QUOTE Brianna
"Rahvin....yes, I remember now" It came back to her now, and with it the pain of her feelings for him, she remembered she fell in love with him....then, but he just had eyes for Telina! She remembered how that had hurt her, and still did! She looked at him, unsure how to continue. She wanted to know how he had spent the last twenty years, and she wanted to know how his feelings were for her now, as apparently Telina hadn´t been at his side these years.
I..I think I still may have feelings for him... OOC: Sorry. I keep forgetting about this scene. Rahvin "So where have you been the last twenty years or so?" he asked. "I know Telina took you somewhere to heal, but we never found out where." Mentioning Telina brought a number of mixed emotions. On one hand, he still had feelings for her, but on the other he had almost a hateful resentment towards her for leaving without so much as a good-bye, and then disappearing for twenty years.

OOC: hehe np! Brianna"I...I was taken away..."she said slowly, "To a safe place, Telina healed me...but..but something didn´t go right, so when I woke up I had no idea who I was or what had happened. I..I think the name of the place was Dagoth Ur...then I lived there, there were a huge garden, with all kinds of herbs and plants" She stopped and sat silent for a while.... "Lately I had these dreams...a voice telling me to go to Chorrol, I´d find something there it said...and...I found you! I...I don´t know...anything, I´m so confused!" Oh, by all mighty! He still have feelings for her...and she abandoned him....how could she? Brianna covered her face....her memory was coming back now bit after bit and she wasn´t sure she liked that...at all!

"Democracy, pah, it sickens me," she said to herself as she walked off. "Oligarchy and Monarchy are the only government types that work," she said in anger as she picked up a scroll which had fallen on the floor. They had already seemed to fail on what they came to do. Too much was going on now and they were too involved in the assassination for the guards to permit them to leave. She sat in a chair and read a book.
Rann "Monarchy is what allows rulers to kill innocent women without repercussions." he said to her, overhearing her statment. "And since the government will do nothing about it, the people then have to take matters into their own hands."

Ian, getting angry with Rann
Ian knitted his brows and his eyes became icy and dangerous. "Tamriel has, since the beginning of time, been overned by a monarchy. Through it all it, dynasties rise and fall, regardless of how they are governed. There is no 'perfect' system of governement, even in a democrasy there will be corruption and strife."
He crossed the threshold of the chamber and stood close beside Rann and the two altmer. "And causes come and go, there is never a person who can keep completely white in a world of greys and blacks....." Suddenly, Ian noticed something pecular about one of the Altmer. He'd been skilled in Ilussion since childhood, and something wasn't right about this individuel.
Issac
Serene, rings a bell somewhere...... "Well, I think I've at least heard that name being whispered in one place or another." He began to grin slightly. "I don't remember much from before I met Ian, but my parents lived here, in the Imperial City, but they were killed by the Deadra during the Oblivion crisis."
His smile faded a little. "After the banishing of Mehrunes Dagon, Ian found me amongst the rubble; he took pity on me and took me as his adopted son. That's how I got to be what I am now, Ian taught me history, swordsmanship, and other traits that are useful today." "Chancellor Ocato, has always been something of a second mentor to me, but he lived proudly. In the life of an agent, one must be ready to die or lose someone that's close to them......." His voice trailed off as he finished.

SatyanaSatyana gave Ian a quick glance, he also had some doubts about that man! She felt him thinking that and that somewhat pleased her that another one had the same doubts about him as she had. She turned to Issac again: "I´m sure you´ve heard of her" she smiled "Now wasn´t that good og Ian to take you on? He seems to be a good man, right?....Now are you an agent then?" She kinda liked Issac, he was friendly and nice.....

Rann "I never said it would be perfect, but it would be far preferrable to an Emperor. At least in a democracy, the people choose who leads them, not heritage." he said to Ian. "Think for yourself for once and stop letting tradition do it for you." This post has been edited by Dantrag: Dec 9 2006, 05:39 PM

Dalrus's eyes seemed to be engulfed in flame, as they usually went when she was angry. "And democracy lets anyone have a say in something when they have no knowlege of what they are voting for. It brings former great empires to their knees in a mix of pure deceit, greed, slander, hate, and rivalry. Democracy makes it so the people in the government are too afraid to lose their position to do anything good. Democracy, no, is not what saves people's lives." she took a breath. "You say innocents die during Monarchy, yes but they always die. If someone in Democracy wants to do something about it, that person a war mongering dictator," she looked him straight in the eyes. The fire subsided from hers revealing her extremely emerald green eyes.

Rann "And monarchy allows one man with bad intent to bring an empire to its knees. At least in a democracy it takes a majority to do it. I'd like to think that the majority of the Empire isn't as dumb as you all." "And democracy twists the rivalry into something good; the spreading of power. Rivalry within a monarchy starts wars."

Flint Ironwood, poking his head in through a window.
Flint had waited outside, clinging to a wall. Yet no one came. In the meantime, a messenger was shouting something about Leyawiin being burned to the ground. Flint could hear it, even as high above the ground as he was currently. ,,What is holding them up?" He wondered and poked his head through the window. It took him only a few moments to realize what was going on.
,,Excuse me! Politics is all nice to talk about in a tavern with a flin in your hand, but we've got bigger fish to fry. Leyawiin got burned by pirates! Now could you people stop arguing till after we saved the world? Democracy or Monarchy, both aren't perfect yet they're both preferable to anarchy. So unless you pack your bags and go help keep civilization intact, neither Democracy nor Monarchy are going to help us out." He shouted angrily. He then pulled his head back before one of the guards could aim an arrow at his face. ,,Damn DB cloak. Clothes make the man, that's what my mom always said. It's the truth."
